providing emphasis on SHS preparations

Preparations and Resources for SHS Planning
• Download all files on http://www.tinyurl.com/SHSPlanningGuide and regularly check for updates.
• Ensure that the region and every division has a Senior High School Implementation Team/Task Force
• Complete all data, use the Senior High School Projections Tool, and ensure that ICT coordinators have mapped all schools.

External Assessment:• STEP 1: Discuss plans with LGUs and District Representatives• STEP 2: Meet with industries and private sector (companies, associations,
committees, etc.)• STEP 3: Meet with your local CHED, TESDA, DOLE, and DTI counterparts• STEP 4: Meet with Private high schools, HEIs, SUCs, LCUs, and TVIs
Internal Assessment:• STEP 5: Check enrollment projections using the SHS Projections Tool• STEP 6: Conduct surveys among parents and students• STEP 7: Check existing resources and prepare all data (facilities, teachers,
staff, competencies, buildable space, and potential school sites)
Planning Proper:• STEP 8: Based on all information, data, and directions gathered
from Steps 1 to 7, determine where the division/region will offer Senior High School

discussion? How responsive were they to partnering for SHS?) An initial survey was sent ot indusries surrounding the secondary school s throughout the divisiion/city.

What are their 5 year plans? What skills would they need?
What can they contribute to SHS implementation?)
We are still collecting and collating the survey
tools distributed.
