Greetings All!
Wool is not going to be my new passion. It’s not because I wasn’t interested, it’s because I just don’t want to add all
the new stash needed for the many projects I would love to do. O.K., I will confess that I did buy one of the kits that
Darlene had with her. It is a pin cushion that I will be able to use in my sewing area. I hope to get it done after I get
the 15 quilts done (long-armed) for my church’s graduating seniors and the two quilts for two of my grand-daughters
who are also graduating this year. That is another reason to stay away from the wool. For those of you who do wool,
happy hand-work!

Quilt Show News
2016 is the year QS needs to start our 2017 raffle quilt. Are you or your group interested on taking on this challenge?
As the Raffle quilt committee, you make the decisions on what the next raffle quilt will look like (modern, appliqué,
pieced or any combination). This could be a great experience for a small quilt group. Please contact Judy Plank or
Sharon Sandburg if you are interested.
An update on the 2017 show committee: Darlene Peterson – Vendors, Rita Radil – Door Prizes, Trisha White –
challenge. If anyone is interested in helping please contact Judy Plank or Sharon Sandburg.
Rita Radil - 2017 Quilt Show Door Prizes - This is the time of the year that many of us do spring cleaning and hold
garage sales. If you have cotton or flannel scraps of material from 2 inches and larger that you no longer plan on
utilizing, please consider donating them. I have an Accuquilt machine and plan on finding patterns for table runners,
wall hangings, and bed quilts and will use the scraps to cut out the required material to make quilt kits. Kits will include
a pattern and the material needed for the top to be completed and will be given away as door prizes. Start bringing
scrap material as soon as you have some bagged up so I can stay on top of prepping the material for the kits. I am
unable to attend the day meetings. Please put my name, Rita Radil, on the bags and give to a Board Member and they
will be sure I receive them at the evening event.
