2016 Program Chairs

Greetings All!

I hope all of you are keeping cool this summer. Are you all making progress on the challenges you signed up for? I

have started my biggest project (cleaning my sewing room) and I still have a lot to do. I plan to work on it big time the

next two weekends and hopefully will make a lot of progress toward my goal. There weren’t a lot of people in

attendance to the meeting on Monday (July 11th). I hope you were all enjoying yourself elsewhere. We had a lot of fun

at the meeting with the excellent finger treats, the fat quarter frenzy – it was a competition between a couple people

to see which one would win the most fat quarters. I also had the pictures from the history books at the meeting to

distribute to the members. I will continue to bring them until they are all gone, or no one knows or wants any of the

rest of them. Well, stay cool and enjoy your quilting.

Ann Brenke

2016 QS President – Happy Quilting

Quilting Quotes

One who sleeps under a quilt is comforted by Love.

Proof Positive that quilters are athletes and quilting is a sport. Quilting involves:

Batting

Running Stitches

Pumping Iron

Rowing

Hunting (for Fabric)

Hooping

And Ditching

Quilters are not Greedy, they are just Materialistic.

One thing I know for sure: There are no rules in quilting. And if you think there are, then it’s time you try breaking a few.

Quilt, Eat, Sleep. In that order.

Anyone who works on a quilt, who devotes her time, energy, creativity, and passion to that art, learns to value the work of her hands. And as any quilter will tell you, a quilter’s quilting friends are some of the dearest, most generous and most supportive

people she knows… “Jennifer Chiaverini”
