Position Overview

The Department of Education and Training is responsible for national policies and programs that help Australians access quality and affordable early child care and childhood education, school education, higher education, vocational education and training, international education and research. The Skills Market intern will have the opportunity to work on projects aligned to their skills and interests. Projects the intern may be involved in include:

a data analytics project that will influence policy or program decisions

scoping new research projects on future reform of the VET sector

designing consumer information reforms

developing business specifications for VET consumer IT systems – computing studies required

Ideal Degree/Discipline

Statistics or econometric modelling, computing studies or IT.

Eligibility Requirements

Currently studying in their penultimate or final year of a relevant undergraduate or post-graduate degree with an Australian university

Must be an Australian citizen

Must be willing to undergo criminal history clearance
