Growth Mindset Thank you to all the parents who attended our Growth Mindset session. We hope you found it useful. Further information will be added to the school website this week. Schools’ Memorial Service Pupils from Class Five represented the school at the annual Schools’ Memorial Service on November 11 th in St Mary’s Church. Their behaviour was exemplary and they were excellent school ambassadors. Class 1 Rhyme Time Pupils in Class 1 celebrated World Nursery Rhyme week this month – as well as inviting parents in to hear them perform they dressed up as nursery rhyme characters. Crucial Crew Class Five attended a multi-agency event in Haverfordwest where they had the opportunity to learn about key safety messages. Children in Need Pupils enjoyed dressing in spotty clothes, eating spotty toast and having their faces painted on November 18 th . We also cheered on Matthew Lamb on his epic walk. We raised £155 for Children in Need – this means that this term we have raised over £240 for charity – thank you for your support. Visitors This month we have been visited by Fireman Lee, PCSOs Carwyn, PCSO Eirian and PC Llewellyn who have worked with classes throughout the November Newsletter Holy Name School

School Clubs School Clubs have now finished for this term (apart from Dance which runs for one more session) I’m sure you will join me in thanking staff who have volunteered to organise and run such a wide range of activities. We plan to run more after school activities next term – details will be shared after Christmas Light Night Parents from Holy Name School will be running a stall at Night Light this Friday (from 6pm in the town hall) – they will be selling festive sweet treats, reindeer food, hot chocolate reindeer cones. They will also have a find the snowman’s golden nose challenge, Christmas jokes and much more. Christmas Decorations If anyone has spare Christmas decorations (large baubles or tinsel) we would be happy to give them a good home.

Christmas Dinner Christmas Dinner will be on Wednesday 7th December – if you would like to order a Christmas Dinner for your child please message Mrs Hayes on ClassDojo by Friday 2nd December. Cost Reception, Year 1 & 2 - £2.15 Years 3,4,5&6 - £2.25 Carol Concerts The Carol Concert for Classes 1, 2 and 3 will take place on Tuesday 13th December. Classes 4 and 5’s concert will be on Wednesday 14th December. Both Carol Services will take place in church starting at 6.30pm. Pupils will need to return to school at 6pm. Information to follow.

Tickets for the concerts will be £2 each and available from school from Monday 5th December. We will send order slips home by the end of the week. We would also like to run a raffle for a Christmas Hamper –donations would be very welcome – e.g. chocolates, wine, spirits, cake, biscuits etc. Christmas Pantomime On December 8th a visiting theatre company will be performing a pantomime for the whole school. Classes 4 and 5 will also be going to Ysgol Bro Gwaun to watch their pantomime ‘Under the Sea’ on December 13th Christmas Outfit Day On the last day of term (December 16th) pupils can wear their own clothes to school – we would love to see lots of Christmas jumpers! On that day we will be organising a range of Christmas themed activities including a whole school Dough Disco. World Book Day Next term we will be celebrating World Book Day – Mrs Beavis has asked if you could save small lidded glass jars as she will be using them for one of our activities.
