Moore and President Jeffrey Beebeled us in the singing of God BlessAmerica.
Invocation was given by LionJoseph Larranaga, Jr.
DINNER:Tonight’s dinner was in keeping
with the tradition. Sausage & hotdogs & buns, sauerkraut, potatosalad, beans and all the xin’s :ketchup, mustard, tomatoes, onionsand relish. Dessert was a brownie
and ice cream. Those dogs wereBIG!! They would t in TWO bunsend to end. Our thanks to the cooks
– Lion Bill Renfro and P.P. Tom Solari,C.O.D. Chairman and crew.
PROGRAM:President Jeff has not had a
good year. He has proven incapableof maintaining possession of hispodium, the bell, his gavel and evenhis notes for the evening. While hewas directing everyone to get inthe food line, his podium just upand walked outside by itself. Jeffsquawked about the theft and P.P.Steve Moore was admonished forallowing this to happen under hisnose. When the investigating of cerarrived, he was directed to the R.P.(Beebe) who then proceeded tocomplain about the Sheriff beinga witness to a crime and not doinganything about it. (Who called?)
During the extended interview withthe investigating of cer, Beebestarted protesting and claiming“I’m the VICTIM”. When asked if hwanted to le a complaint – he saidno. ?? What was all the squawkingabout??
However, I do have a suggestion.Next time – TAZE the thief. It wouldbe funny watching him wiggle. Infact, maybe we can make a program
out of it.President Jeff turned themicrophone over to PDG ChuckLeach who was given the honor ofinducting in three new members.
New members and sponsorswere called up to the front. Oops! Ialmost said podium.Chris Herrera – sponsor Lion RandyViglienzoneEric Johnson – sponsor GlenBockmonPaul Wagner – sponsor RolandDavis.
Chuck gave a brief history ofLionism and their responsibilitiesin the club. Each was sworn in andpresented with their membershippackage. They were then givenan opportunity to tell us aboutthemselves. Their sponsors placedtheir pins on their lapels.Chris, Eric and Paul – welcome tothe Linden Lions Club.
And of course – looking forreasons to ne members was easy.Peters & Colombini were ned forcampaign signs. Treasurer AlanGenetti was ned for not sitting atthe head table. Victor Fong & SteveMoore ned for looking at their cellphones.
They also checked for pins andbadges.
The next highlight of the eveningwas the beer stein judging contest.President set forth the judging

Lion Judges Daniel Leong and Charles Leubnerchecked and evaluated all entries with an expert eyeand despite the wide range of characteristics, were ableto conclusively come to an agreement on the winningentry.Lion Robert Gilliland won a 6 pack for his entry.

to have visitors. Please call before going.Prospective member Bob McDonald was introduced
by P.P. Robert Tanaka.Birthdays and anniversaries were announced.
Raf e winner was drawn and it was P.P. Tim RibalTim, like so many before, won the big $1.00. He proudlykept his prize and announced drinks were on thehouse.
