How much do you :

By Michael Skelton

Whether you hate or love it, we all must face the facts and see that facebook is the most

popular website. Facebook recieves 39.2% of the the pages loaded on the internet and

appears that it will hold it’s spot on top for a very long time, with the second most popu-

lar site, YouTUBE, receiving 31.8% of pages loaded

.The suprising thing about facebook, is the amount of users who waste there time playing

the lowstandard games that their pages offer. As of the 31st of October, there is

56,318,413 farmville farmers.

Here is a list of facebook statistics that may surprise you:

53% of facebook accounts are used to play games.

19% of those users say they are addicted.

69% of Facebook gamers are women.

20% have paid cash for in-game benefits.

56 million people play daily (more than the population of England)

290 million people play monthly (nearly as many people as live in the the unitwed states.)

On average 421 minutes is spent on facebook per month

50% of facebook log-ins are specifically to play games.

So with up to 265 million facebook games, X210 minutes per gamer, per month

(assuming 50% of log-ins equals 50% of minutes spent) this equals to 927 million hours

per month, which is 105,878 human years worth of online gaming per month.

That could be 927 million hours put into things to make a real difference in the world, like

even maintaining your own small veggie patch to grow your own real fruit and vegetables

that could be donated to those who are in need, rather than virtual fruit and vegetables to

achieve a virtual ribbon!

My name is Nathan Badi. I am a student at Windsor Gardens Vocational College and I did 65 hrs work placement with Twelve25. I enjoyed working at Twelve25 and meeting new peo-ple every day. One of the things that I liked a lot, is that all the staff members are very welcom-ing and supportive. During the work placement I have learnt and experienced a lot. Some of the things that I really learnt and improved are, how to welcome visitors and clients, how Twelve25 can help you, and to improve my english communication.

Tat2artz Twelve 25 has run a training program teaching a group of young (and young at heart!) participants, volunteers and staff to operate our Airbrush Tattoo Kit. It has been a popular addition to youth

events across the city.

To have the program at your event, please complete the expression of interest form which can be downloaded from the Twelve 25

website at

www.twelve25.com.au and return to

Rick Henke, Twelve 25 Manager.

ROTARY SUPPORTS TWELVE25

The Rotary Club of Salisbury has continued its fantastic support of Twelve25 Salisbury Youth Enterprise Centre.

Through the Rotary Clubs ongoing support there are now lockers available for young peoples use whilst here at the centre.

Manager Rick said “In the past we have had issues with not being able to help young people to keep their stuff safe, the lockers are now in place to help with this”.

The lockers are provided free – just speak to the reception staff and volunteers.
