Dear All

With the Summer washout coming towards an end the day-light hours start becoming shorter the third issue of the newsletter looks back at the summer months in all the departments, along with looking ahead towards the Autumn and Christmas periods.

Some exciting projects have taken place in the recent months including one of Power Electrics largest sales order going out the door and one of the hire departments largest shout for temporary power.

This edition of the newsletter will focus on a variety of topics including an update on where we are at with the rebranding of the logo and a feature on mobile users visiting our website. With over 92% of the British public with a mobile phone and the continual rise of smart phones, page 12 looks at how numbers of visitors to our website are changing with an increase of mobile web visitors. The newsletter rounds off this edition looking at some customer feedback.

As always, if you have anything you want to be included in the next edition of the newsletter due before Christmas, please contact Leigh in the Marketing Department.

Bilingual Business Card

The rebranding exercise has now almost been completed with the new logo being placed on all items including, business cards, stationary, vehicles and the rental generator range to name a few.

The reason for the rebrand was to freshen up our old logo to create a clean and professional looking image for the company along with avoiding marketplace confusion with other companies who may have a very simular name to us. The aim was to be viewed as Power Electrics rather than PE.

An important part of the rebranding exercise is to keep brand consistency and ensuring our logo always looks the same whether it be on a generator or a piece of paper. Keeping the colours the same and the logo not stretched will mean our brand will be easily recognised, whether it be a lorry on the motorway or an invoice sent to a customer.

If you have any questions about the branding please contact the marketing department.

Remember - All marketing material including digital letterheads and template powerpoints can be found in N:/Marketing.

We are exhibiting at Datacenter Dynamics (DCD) for the second year after a successful show in 2011. Over the course of 2 days the conference brings together more than 80 exhibitors and in excess of 2500 delegates, positioning DCD as the largest and most comprehensive conference of its kind anywhere in the world.

While at the exhibition we will be focusing our sales efforts at the Design, Build and Operate side of the show.

September marks the start of the exhibition period which Power Electrics will be displaying and marketing our services and products to new customers. When looking at which shows to exhibit at we look at past results from shows, attendance figures, location and market place. As you can see from the three shows that we have upcoming in the next three months they spread a wide range of market places; energy, data centers and events.

Date: 11th & 12th SeptemberLocation: NEC, Birmingham

This is only the second year that we are exhibiting at the Energy Event after testing the waters last year and it being a successful show. The Energy Event is the UK’s only event dedicated solely to energy procurement, management and efficiency. With over 150 exhibitors and 4,500 visitors it allows us to gain exposure with buyers, policy makers, specifiers, contractors and consultants throughout the UK. Along with the exhibition the show offers a quality list of speakers including Philip Lowe, Brian Cox and Alastair Campbell which will hopefully attract some high profile people to visit the show.

QUALITYPower Electrics Gain Re-certification of ISO 9001

We have recently undergone a re-certification surveillance external audit for ISO 9001, all areas of the business were sampled and I am pleased to say the we successfully passed the audit with no non-conformances or observations. This is due to the commitment from all areas of the business in achieving the quality standard through individual operational procedures.

An extract from the Audit Report:“The business is well controlled and run. Internal audits are thorough and detailed, management reviews are comprehensive and the setting of measurable objectives is commendable. Training, and the file management of training records is excellent. I have no hesitation in recommending continued certification to ISO 9001.”

I would like to thank everyone for their continued support in contributing to Power Electrics achieving the renewed certification. ISO 9001 demonstrates to our customers the high standard of Quality Assurance that we consistently gain to ensure that customer needs are met and fulfilled.

Customer Feedback

“Power Electrics provided a professional service for the duration of the AEGON Championships including the set up and break down of the event. Their knowledge of the product and the service they provided us were second to none.”Maintenance Manager at the Queens Club

“Many thanks for all your assistance at both The Derby and the Grand National. I have enjoyed working with you and to

my mind the service offered goes beyond just powering up a generator. There have been many instances where Power

Electrics staff have offered help in many other areas.” Engineering Manager at SiS

“On both the install projects, Power Electrics performed very well. The new Baby Care Unit required very careful planning and implementation of the new system. The project management / quality / delivery was exceptional.” Hospital Engineer at the Royal United Hospital Bath

“This contract was not straightforward but complex and difficult. Power Electrics worked as part of a team and installed the first machine on a roof

with no room for error. The second machine was installed in a very cramped location but splitting into parts and reassembling and commissioning. Their

personnel sent to site were of qualified and developed appropriately for the work and performed efficiently with no issues during installation,

commissioning and maintenance.”Assistant Director Project at The Royal Marsden Foundation Trust
