Commander’s Comments
The District 4 meeting has come and gone. The attendee’s had a great time visiting and reuniting with oldshipmates. I know Reggie met an old friend that he had not seen in many-many years. Reggie took somepictures that I am posting in this newsletter. Many thanks for his expertise with the camera.
The next District 4 Meeting was voted in for Biloxi, Mississippi next May 2005. It’s a great partydestination. The World War Two Vets will be conducting a joint meeting with us at Biloxi. This promisesto be a great time at a great location with a great bunch of shipmates. Anytime we can get together withthe WWII Vets is always a winning solution. I can’t wait for this conference. The Joint Convention inReno with the WWII Vets was great. Pleas mark next years calendar and plan to attend, this will be thebest D-4 Conference yet.
We need to start planning the worklist for the submarine model at Billy Wein’s house and setting up ourpicnic that Paul Sable has been focusing on for the past few months. Please come to the next meetingready to have your say and be able to step up to help with the projects.
Dennis Blado sent an email on the D-4 conference, which I am posting in this newsletter. Dennis wasagain elected as the D-4 Commander and is doing a great job.

District 4 Commanders Comments
Morning Guys, Everyone seemed to have a good time at the D-4 Conf. I was a little disappointedthat more Members were not there, but I do understand that some Members still work and that isa big reason.
This information needs to be put out at your next meeting. It will give your members a heads upon future planning for next years D-4 Conf. At the D-4 Business Meeting, Charleston Base andDenizens of Deep Base (combined effort) bid to hold the 2005 Conf in Charleston, SC.
Tullibee Base also bid for the 2005 Conf. to be held in Biloxi, MS. When the voting wascompleted, Tullibee Base got the most votes so they will host the 2005 D-4 Conf. in Biloxi, MS.
It is to held in conjunction with Sub-Vets WWII Southern Regional Convention.
The next D-4 Conf. will be held on the 5th, 6th and 7th of May, 2005. We always hold our Conf.on the first weekend of May but the 1st of May is on a Sunday and that is why it will be on the5,6and 7th.
More information to come at a later date when more plans are made.
Thanks Dennis Blado D-4 Commander
