MONTHLY ACTIVITY REPORT-November 2016 1. Sankalp saw a massive increase in the no of applications received for volunteering with Sankalp. Priya,an engineering graduate from Ranchi approached Sankalp for the same and has now been handed over the project of appealing to NIT JSR Alumnis thru FB Page for funds and sponsorship. 2. Common Test was conducted across all the centres of Sankalp. Marks were analysed and feedback was given to parents of the students for improvement. 3. Additional white board has been given for Dhanbad Centre. Rahul, our Dhanbad Centre coordinator is managing the centre excellently. Monthly reports and centre feedback are now received regularly by the Central Team, 4. MONTHLY ACTIVITY REPORT-November 2016

1. Sankalp saw a massive increase in the no of applications received for volunteering with

Sankalp. Priya,an engineering graduate from Ranchi approached Sankalp for the same and

has now been handed over the project of appealing to NIT JSR Alumnis thru FB Page for

funds and sponsorship.

2. Common Test was conducted across all the centres of Sankalp. Marks were analysed and

feedback was given to parents of the students for improvement.

19. Children’s day was celebrated across all the Sankalp Centres with much enthusiasm. Various

Competitions were held and students were awarded.

20. Surabhi Mam, junior section teacher at Telco Centre has now been replaced by Monalisha.

Also 4 new students joined the centre in the month of November.

21. Common Test was conducted at Madhepura Centre and marks were shared.

22. Sankalp added yet another feather to its cap when 2k4 batch alumnus Vivekananda Singh, an

IPS of 2003 batch visited the centre and appreciated our efforts.

23. Induction of 2016 batch took place successfully. Many students showed interest and were

moved by the philosophy and work of Sankalp. They would start taking classes at the centres

from 2nd

semester onwards.

24. For the first time, girls from Second Year also took active part in conducting special classes.

The passion with which volunteers are now serving Sankalp is remarkable and is laying the

foundation of a large scale movement led by students.\

25. Fund Receipt for the amount received as CSR Funds from SNL Bearings were mailed to the

CSR Team of the company.

26. Sankalp is now moving towards a cashless and hassle-free hotel collection whereby we will

collect money thru Swipe Machine.

27. Plans are now underway to meet Adiyapur Industrial Are based ancillaries and appeal to

them for providing funds under CSR

28. Deepak Pansari is now giving weekly report for these two centres from next week onwards-

Frequent calls at Out location centres especially Madhepura and Giridih-

29. Giridih Centre Report:

1. Mr. Somnath is in Kolkata for preparation, Now Amit is coordinating the centre.

2. Strength is consistent at 60 even after Diwali and Chhath Puja, because of interesting class-

culture.

3.New teachers require training which would be handled by Amit.

4.. CT is to be conducted by this week and report will be submitted.

6. No requirement at the centre, everything is going well.

30. Dhanbad Centre Report:

1. Strength of children for junior classes is appreciable but for higher class ,strength dropped

slightly because some of children go to private tutor .

2. Test is regularly conducted..

3. Children’s day celebrated by Smriti and centre coordinators

4. No other such extra activity was conducted.

5. Marker needs to be refilled

6. Dari need to be given for washing

7. Dust is one of the major issues because during classroom hours , local people sweep their

areas near centre without concerning anything .

31. Madhepura Center Report:

1. Strength is consistent at 80-90

2. English teacher has not been found yet. The ones who were contacted had conveyance

issues. Have assured Vicky ji of all reasonable help (monetary or otherwise) for a good

English teacher and that there shouldn't be any roadblock.

3. Sanjeevani is not being followed yet.

4. Tests were conducted and Mark sheet was also sent by him for this month.

5. Print clarity of question papers is an issue. I would insist an email copy rather than

WhatsApp photographs. Have requested him to provide E-mail id where we can mail the

question papers.

32. Jamui and Banka Center Report:

1) Strength of students is slightly down due to harvest season. But overall satisfactory.

2) Teachers are good and no complaints about them.

3) Vikas ji praised that all needs like dari, chair and other things were supplied on time.

4) Tests are being conducted for students who are coming.

5) Asked him to identify any potential students for admission.

33. Monitoring of the classes, the attendance and quality have been made more strict

34. Frequent visit by President and other volunteers to stabilize the centre

35. Regular report of the syllabus completed and lessons taught at the centre is monitored thru

WhatsApp group

36. Pics of the classes are shared online

37. Monthly interaction led by President took place with the Team and special mention was made

to the tireless efforts which the volunteers are making for making the different activities

successful

38. Both Sankalp-A pledge to change and Sankalp Volunteers group FB page noted huge hike in

likes and membership over the month

39. Sankalp saw a huge rise in daily requests for addition to its FB Page of Sankalp Volunteers
