MONTHLY ACTIVITY REPORT-Jan 2019 1. Sankalp, which owes its origin to ISM Dhanbad’s Kartavya NGO as its inspiration is now getting its feat emulated by them. Kartavya NGO has started Navodaya Entrance Preparation Classes in collaboration with Pahal NGO run by Deepak in Dhanbad. 2. Anand, our centre teacher at Birhor Centre is regularly taking classes at Birhor Centre and there is marked improvement in the academic levels of the students. 3. Prabhat and Harshvardhan have now started taking Hindi Classes at Navodaya Centre 4. Students have been selected for 2020 batch at Navodaya Centre and prepration classes have started in full swing. 5. Sankalp has planned to open a new centre for Navodaya Preparation near Mohan Nagar centre. Selected students from Mohan Nagar, NIT and Ikchapur centre would be trained at the new centre. 6. Sankalp President has been invited for Social Entrepreneurship Conclave at XLRI 7. Republic Day was celebrated with patriotic vigour and feelings across all the Sankalp Centres. MONTHLY ACTIVITY REPORT-Jan 2019

1. Sankalp, which owes its origin to ISM Dhanbad’s Kartavya NGO as its inspiration is

now getting its feat emulated by them. Kartavya NGO has started Navodaya Entrance

Preparation Classes in collaboration with Pahal NGO run by Deepak in Dhanbad.

2. Anand, our centre teacher at Birhor Centre is regularly taking classes at Birhor Centre

19. Construction of Sankalp Vidyashram is about to get completed. Approval has been

received from the Department of Education. DICE Number was allotted to the school

in the name of Lalit Kumar.

20. The aim of the school is to provide good quality education to the tribal, poor and

orphan children

21. Cloth donation drive was organized at Mohan Nagar Centre.

22. A meeting was done with the students appearing for their board exams in March and

April 2019. They were given financial support to buy the guides and books required

for their preparation.

23. Stationary distribution and cultural activities were organized at Dhanbad Centre.

24. Sponsorship amount was donated to the students at Telco Centre. A total of 34

students were given Board Registration Fee for registering in board exams &

scholarship to complete their education.

25. Library was inaugurated at the Telco Centre with financial support from 2k14 batch

alumnus. A drawer and an almirah were also kept for proper storage and security of

books.

26. Monthly Centre Report:

*Center Visit Report*

a. *Aashiyana*:

1) Nov CT conducted and special activity scheduled.

2) 2 LED bulb, 4 set of markers and ink is given to center.

3) Padma ma'am is absent since sanskriti (She is ill)

4)Rajnish Sir can't handle all students alone. Hence *A teacher is required*

5) Sanjeevni syllabus is not specific about course. Course specific syllabus should be

included in sanjeevni.

6)Whitewashing is required at center,will arranged by padma ma'am.

b. *Imli*:

1) Nov CT is conducted two days back. Reported earlier.

2) Few students (including a sponsored) are irregular and performing poor.

3) Sponsorship should be transferred to others who are performing really well.

c. *MN*:

1) Volunteers were late.

2) Classes were off for two days in this week.

3) No information about special activity.

4)Scheduled Timing was not followed at Naval Sir's Center.

5) Santana Ma'am was absent.

d. *NIT*:

1)Not informed about special activity.

2)Many were unaware about Sunday class.

e. *Ikchapur*:

1) Special activity was conducted by 2k17 volunteers.

*Remark*:: Register was not maintained in almost every center.

g. *Suggestions*::

1)New edition of Sanjeevani should be prepared with more detailed syllabus with

subtopics and key concepts to be covered.

2) NCERT should be taken in consideration for Sanjeevani.

3) English Translation classes should be started in every Center.

4) Before every CT center coordinator should contact teachers and students of

center to give correct information about syllabus and pattern.

5) Exam team should frame questions relevant to class standard. (specially GK)

27. Stationery Distribution was organized at Navodaya Centre

28. New Sweaters for students of Kalahandi Centre were distributed at both Talnuagaon

and Mohan Nagar centres.

29. Monthly interaction led by President took place with the Team and special mention

was made to the tireless efforts which the volunteers are making for making the

different activities successful

1. Both Sankalp-A pledge to change and Sankalp Volunteers group FB

page noted huge hike in likes and membership over the month

2. Sankalp saw a huge rise in daily requests for addition to its FB Page of

Sankalp Volunteers Group.
