Whom Shall I Send?
A musical drama
Whom Shall I Send?, an exciting new musical, finds its roots in the New Testament as it depicts God’s call to the disciples and their response. The play explores the hu-manity of the disciples - their doubts, fears and joys - as they respond to the call of the risen Christ. The energetic dialogue, vibrant songs and dances celebrate the spiritual journey of Peter, Paul, John, Mary Magdalene and Lydia. It explores the unique way that each character is called by God and inspires audiences to reflect on the call of God in their own lives. This poignant and moving drama engages the audience in a story of faith, love and friendship.
The Xavier Company is a group of professional actors, singers and dancers in residence at St. Francis Xavier Church in Manhattan. The Xavier Company has been pro-ducing musical plays that proclaim the gospel and explore themes of spirituality and social justice for more than 30 years in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsyl-vania. Whom Shall I Send has been previously performed at St. Malachy’s, the Catholic Actors Chapel in New York and for the American Bible Society.

HE TALKED THE TALK ABOUT WALKING THE WALK
Holy Child was graced by the visit of Mr. Christian Lapalme from The Sacred Heart Shrine of Beauvoir in Sherbrooke, Quebec.
On Friday 10 February Mr. Lapalme traveled down to us from that site where he is on staff to share with us its history and to give us a slide experience of The Gospel Walk which is a wonderful feature of that shrine.
All who attended were edified, inspired and refreshed by Mr. Lapalme’s spiritu-al presentation. The evening was tantamount to a mini-retreat.
We owe Carol Bulcroft a debt of gratitude for facilitating Mr. Lapalme’s visit. For those who missed him, there is another chance:
Carol Bulcroft heads up Through The Eyes of Mary Ministry which conducts pilgrimages, short and long, near and far.
The annual Pilgrimage to Canada includes stops at Our Lady of the Cape (Notre Dame du Cap), Fr. Frederic Tomb and Museum at Three Rivers, St. Jo-seph’s Oratory in Montreal, St. Anne de Beaupre in Quebec and finally, Sacred Heart Shrine of Beauvoir.
Mr. Lapalme’s visit brought back memories to those of us who have gone to Sherbrooke in the past and hopefully excited the desire of those yet to go. For reminiscence or preview: www.sanctuairedebeauvoir
The 2017 Pilgrimage to Canada is from 31 July to 5 August. Information: Carol Bulcroft 718-744-7471
