CRS & CCHD Collection Today Our giving to the second collection today supports the wonderful and necessary work that the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) is doing at the national level by funding anti-poverty grants and education programs. Fifty percent of the money donated is designated for local Diocesan needs. In Santa Rosa this money is given to Catholic Charities. Funds collected by Catholic Relief Services (CRS) allows that agency to provide funding for international emergency needs, such as the Typhoon in the Philippines, water wells in Ethiopia, and the rights of immigrants. This is an excellent way to practice Lenten almsgiving.

Segunda Colecta: CRS & CCHD Nuestra donación a la segunda colecta del día de hoy apoyará al trabajo maravilloso y necesario que la Campaña Católica para el desarrollo humano (CCHD) está haciendo a nivel nacional mediante la financiación de programas educativos y becas de lucha contra la pobreza. Cincuenta por ciento del dinero donado se señala para las necesidades de la Diócesis local. En Santa Rosa este dinero se les da a Caridades Católicas. Los fondos recaudados por Catholic Relief Services (CRS) permiten a esta agencia de financiamiento ayudar en las necesidades de emergencia internacionales, tales como el tifón en Filipinas, agua de pozos en Etiopía y los derechos de los inmigrantes. Annual Ministry Appeal The In-Pew Solicitation at the English Masses last weekend was very successful. A total of $26,914.00 was pledged or donated by 136 new participants. These new gifts, and the generosity of the donors, are greatly appreciated. Prior to last Sunday the parish had received 108 pledges or one-time donations for a total of $21,620.00. The total amount now in pledges and donations is $48,534.00. This is slightly over 80% of the parish target of $60,777.00. Getting to 80% was our first goal. Our new goal is to make 100%. New pledges and donations are needed to accomplish this. Envelopes are in the wall pockets at all the church doors. Drop the completed envelope in the collection basket or mail it to the parish office. All the money raised in excess of the target will be returned to the parish. The Spanish In-Pew Solicitation is April 22/23.

Solicitud de Pew en el en las Misas de inglés fin de semana pasado fue muy exitoso. Un total de $26.914,00 fue prometido o donado por 136 nuevos participantes. Estos nuevos regalos y la generosidad de los donantes, son muy apreciadas. Antes del domingo pasado la parroquia había recibido 108 promesas o donaciones por única vez para un total de $21.620,00.

La cantidad total en donaciones y promesas es $48.534,00. Esto es un poco más el 80% de la meta de la parroquia de $60.777,00. 80% fue nuestro primer objetivo. Nuestro nuevo objetivo es el 100%. Donaciones y nuevos compromisos son necesarios para lograrlo. Los sobres están en los bolsillos de pared en todas las puertas de la iglesia. La dotación completa en la canasta o envíela por correo a la oficina parroquial. Se devolverá todo el dinero recaudado por encima de la meta a la parroquia. La solicitud en los bancos de español es el 22 de abril/23.

Policy For The Use Of Our Parish Buildings The new policy for using the parish buildings was discussed and approved by the Parish Council and the pastor. The new policy reads “The primary use of the Parish Center and other church facilities is for the exclusive use of St. Rose parish ministries and organizations of the Diocese of Santa Rosa. None of the facilities are available for private use. There are no exceptions.” This policy is now in effect. It covers the use of the hall, annex, Room A, B, C and D in the Parish Center and the Fireside Room and Meeting Room (former chapel) in the convent.

Reglas Para El Uso De Nuestros Edificios Parroquiales La nueva regla para el uso de la los edificios de la parroquia fue discutida y aprobada por el Consejo Parroquial y el pastor. La nueva política lee "El uso principal del centro parroquial y otras facilidades es exclusivamente de ministerios de la parroquia de Santa Rosa de Lima y las organizaciones de la diócesis de Santa Rosa. Ninguna de las instalaciones están disponible para uso privado. No habra excepciones". Esta política es efectivo desde hoy.Cubre el uso del salón principal, anex, salones A, B, C y D en el centro parroquial, salon de lachimenea y salon de reuniones (antigua capilla) en el convento.

Monthly Bereavement Ministry All in the parish who have died between the dates of February 15 and March 15 are being remembered and prayed for at the 10:30 a.m. Mass today. We welcome the family members. A simple reception for the families will follow the Mass in the Parish Center Annex.

Chrism Mass Invitation

The Most Reverend Robert F. Vasa, Bishop, along with the Diocesan and Religious priests of the Diocese invite you to participate in the Mass of the Chrism at St. Eugene’s on Thursday, April 6 at 5:30 p.m. The Mass of the Chrism is celebrated once a year, during which the Bishop blesses the oil of Catechumens, the oil of the Sick and the oil of Chrism. This Mass is one of the principal expressions of the fullness of the ministerial priesthood that the bishop has received and it also signifies the unity the priests have with the bishop who share in the same ministerial priesthood. During this Mass the Diocesan and Religious priests will renew their commitment of priestly service.

Invitación a la Misa de Crisma Más Reverendo Robert f el. Vasa, obispo, junto con los sacerdotes diocesanos y religiosos de la diócesis le invitamos a participar en la Misa Crismal en St Eugene el jueves, 6 de abril a 17:30 La masa de la crismal se celebra una vez al año, durante el cual el obispo bendice el óleo de los catecúmenos, el aceite de los enfermos y el aceite del Crisma. Esta masa es una de las principales expresiones de la plenitud del sacerdocio ministerial que el obispo ha recibido y también significa la unidad de los sacerdotes con el obispo que comparten el mismo sacerdocio ministerial. Durante esta Misa los sacerdotes diocesanos y religiosos renovarán su compromiso de servicio sacerdotal.
