WORLD ZIONIST ORGANIZATION ELECTIONS

In the last issue of the "Temple Bulletin," you received a registration form for the upcoming election sponsored by the World Zionist Organization. It is crucial that each and every adult member (18 or over by June 30,2002) in our congregation participates. By the way, each member needs his/her own registration form. If you need additional registrations forms, please call the Temple office, and we will send them to you. You can also register online at www.VoteReformJudaism.com. At this site, you can both register to vote and learn more about the election process and what is at stake. Approximately four months from now you will receive an official ballot to cast your vote.

Victory by the Reform Movement in the election will : • Give Reform Jews a strong voice in critical

decisions in Israel, such as "Who is a Jew?" • Provide Reform Jews with a vital role in making

Judaism more inclusive and tolerant. • Unify the Jewish people during these difficult

days on the basis of liberty, democracy, tolerance and moderation.

We cannot emphasize enough how important it is to register and vote. We are at a critical struggle for the soul of the Jewish people. The future of Reform Judaism is at stake. Your vote can and will make the difference.

REMEMBER EACH ADULT MUST FILL OUT HISIHER OWN REGISTRATION FORM. EACH FORM SHOULD BE PLACED IN A SEPARATE ENVELOPE. THE COST OF REGISTRATION IS $4.00 PER PERSON.

The Rabbi, Cantor and members of the congragation extend sincerest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to Sis Schimel on the passing of her beloved husband, Al, and to Myrtle Wildberg on the passing of her beloved sister, Mayera Cohen.

YOM KIPPUR APPEAL As always, our congregation will conduct its annual Yom Kippur Appeal during our Kol Nidre Service on the eve of the Holy Day. As was the case last year, we will distribute pledge cards to our members as they enter the lobby of the sanctuary before services begin. Please plan accordingly, and plan on being at the Temple early enough to be able to receive your pledge card and take your seat. Remember that no one is allowed to enter the sanctuary during the chanting of the Kol Nidre. We appreciate your cooperation.

YOM KIPPUR BREAK FAST Temple members are invited to break the fast at the Temple immediately following the conclusion of our Yom Kippur services. Temple President Irwin Rosen will sponsor our break fast in memory of his beloved grandmother, Cecelia Wahl Cohen. We express our gratitude to Irwin for his thoughtful and generous contribution.
