Kenn’s Comments Kenn’s Comments Kenn’s Comments Kenn’s Comments (continued from Page 1) complicated it is to get to the right hand cylinders on a 1500 with sidecar. And, yes, there were the jokes about how many Goldwingers it takes to change the oil on a sidecar. Even though I was not much help, I enjoyed the get-together and even learned a few things! Afterward I went home to rest up for the ride to Scottsbluff. On Sunday I woke up feeling fine for the ride, but early on, I realized that it would not be prudent to attempt the ride Maelstrom that far in my weakened condition. So, Nicole and I drove to Sapp Brothers where we met with 13 bikes and 24 members who made our way to Chapter NE-W’s Birthday Party in Scottsbluff. We were joined by Phil Runyan and his friend Debra, so by my count we ended up with 25 members and 14 bikes from Chapter B! We had a lot of fun and brought a lot of Nebraska money and prizes home to Cheyenne from the 50/50 and raffles and auctions! Congratulations to NE-W for another great Birthday Party! We certainly enjoyed it!! Making me especially happy on this NE-W Birthday Sunday, was my son, Kenny’s maiden voyage on his brand new Yamaha V-Star 1100. The candy black cherry beauty (hmmm, like father, like son) performed admirably, although Kenny did confess to some abrupt seating discomfort along the way. He commented that, “the V-Star is not nearly as comfortable as a GoldWing.” I just smiled… Kenny is also our newest GWRRA Chapter B Associate member now!

As humans, often we have chosen to share our lives and domicile with furry creatures, great and small. We believe ourselves to be their “Master” and in charge of the household. I offer you this insight into the mind of a predator....... The Dog's Diary: 8:00 am - Dog food! My favorite thing! 9:30 am - A car ride! My favorite thing! 9:40 am - A walk in the park! My favorite thing! 10:30 am - Got rubbed and petted! My favorite thing! 12:00 pm - Milk bones! My favorite thing! 1:00 pm - Played in the yard! My favorite thing! 3:00 pm - Wagged my tail! My favorite thing! 5:00 pm - Dinner! My favorite thing! 7:00 pm - Got to play ball! My favorite thing! 8:00 pm - Wow! Watched TV with the people! My favorite thing! 11:00 pm - Sleeping on the bed! My favorite thing! The Cat's Diary: Day 983 of my captivity. My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength. The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet. Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates my capabilities. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a "good little hunter" I am. Cretins! Day 1065 of my captivity: There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard my confinement was due to the power of "allergies." I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage. Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow, but at the top of the stairs. Day 1526 of my captivity: I am convinced the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released, and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously severely challenged. The bird must be an informant. I observe him communicate with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now...... Hold your little friends close, ponder the above and sleep well my friends….

The wedding of Ron Fox and Mary Ellen Leonard has been postponed.

Rider EducationRider EducationRider EducationRider Education By John Cram

Hello from the Safety Guy! aka John Cram

One item for discussion this month.........

There are two dates available for the WYDOT ERC course, Sunday June 10, 2007 or Saturday, June Sunday June 10, 2007 or Saturday, June Sunday June 10, 2007 or Saturday, June Sunday June 10, 2007 or Saturday, June 16, 2007. 16, 2007. 16, 2007. 16, 2007. The Chapter needs to decide which day would work the best.

(continued from page 1)

From the Ride Committee: Please note we are adding an additional ride to the calendar. It will be on June 16th, 2007 to Estes Park to attend the Annual Wool Market and Festival. After attending the Market, we will have lunch, "goof off", and come home sometime when we feel like it. If you have never been to the Wool Market, you are in for a treat. There are several vendors of course and demonstrations: weaving, spinning, knitting, dyeing of wool, etc. Also, you can walk through the 'barns' and look at many different types of wool producing animals, etc. Did you know that alpacas will hum at you? Do you know the difference between alpacas and lamas? You should see a child try to lead an alpaca to the show ring when it decides it doesn't want to go! Please be sure to check the calendar for departure time and location. Hope to see you there.

Ride safe and ride often!

George and Susann Anderson
