in-person or remotely). Let's take a little time to evaluate the personal assets you're

candidates for becoming Social Marketers, but everyone on your list is a potential

customer.

Once you share Modere with those who recognise the potential in the opportunity, the

choice becomes theirs: either to become members of your team, or to buy a product

and become your customers.

Using the Feel, Felt, Found method is another powerful way to answer any questions or

objections.

Using this Feel, Felt, Found method helps people to see that you understand their

question/objection, have some empathy and you re giving them your honest personal

experience or results, to help alleviate their concerns.

For example: “I know how you feel, I felt like that at first, but then I found ……….” etc.You

can also share other people’s results and experiences. “I know how you feel, my friend

felt like that and she found ………..” etc.

Always ask if you can tag them into other Posts that can assist with their questions.

THE MEETING AFTER THE MEETING

Following any event, the ‘meeting after the meeting’ is possibly the most important

conversation you can have with a potential new member. Building relationships and

understanding needs is key to building an effective team. Connecting with others who

through their experience that small changes could turn any ‘no’ into a yes! They are

STEP 5 - RECONNECT

This is where your fortune is made! Reconnecting is about following up with people

who have not yet made a decision plus following through with people in your team to

assist them to take their next step. The most effective approach is to have a heart of

service - it is about serving & making a difference. The activities include answering

questions, collecting a decision, assisting with registration with Modere, encouraging

orders & supporting as needed. Reconnecting also involves promoting the next MeetUp

or team event, promoting the next step, registering them and helping them get on their

own path. Sharing this document and assisting them to navigate the Shifting Retail

website, team websites and Facebook groups will help them duplicate success.

THE FORTUNE IS IN THE FOLLOW UP

As the Fortune is in the Follow-Up have some urgency around it. Arrange a set time for

reconnection. In Social Media communications allow 1/2 hour -12 hours maximum; for

voice-to-voice allow 12-24 hours. We live in a fast-paced world.

A key to success is to keep in touch with your contacts until they register as Social

Marketers, become customers or tell you they aren’t interested. Quite often it takes a

few times before you establish meaningful contact so do not give up after one try as

we are all busy people. However while persistence is a good thing, a friendly “no”

should be your signal to stop. There are many other people waiting for you to

introduce Modere into their world. We are all about finding out what they want and

then providing a way, with Modere, and helping them to get it!

If they are a ‘no not right now” ask permission to reconnect with them in 6 months

time. Timing is absolutely everything!

Always arrange a time for Reconnecting and Follow-Up during the current call/

messenger chat or meeting.

We are in a relationship business, so don’t be afraid to have many contacts and

catchups. Many of your Social Marketers will become some of your key friends.

Having a duplicatable process makes it easier, so know what it is you need to share.

If you are using voice-to-voice; text or message first to set a time when they have a

quick second to talk.

ANSWERING QUESTIONS & ADDRESSING OBJECTIONS

A great way to keep the conversation moving ahead is being prepared to answer the

questions your prospects may have and addressing concerns &/or objections.

You can ask; “So, what questions can I answer for you?”

Answer them and to move the conversation to a close ask: “Great, Can I tell you what I

need to get you started?” or ? Whose name do you want to open the account with, to

start ordering?” (if a Customer account)

If you don’t know the answer, see it as an opportunity to learn more and as another

contact.

Respond with:“Great Question! I’m not 100% sure of the answer. Can you give me a day

or two to find the answer and I’ll get back to you?

USING SCRIPTS

Language matters. The words in this document and the scripts have been chosen to

help you to improve your chances of getting the desired outcome: a new Social

Marketer or a new customer! However, you want to “make them yours,” especially on

the phone, so that you sound natural when communicating with people who know you.

It’s OK to stray from the recommended language! Just don’t go so far that you make

promises you can’t keep, or venture into uncertain territory. Follow the flow and take

your cues from the sample scripts… they work!

These scripts here are principally designed for voice-to-voice communication but with

minor amendment can be used for text / Messenger exchanges. Generally, texts are

better shorter than voice messages. Some of these scripts can be tailored for text

exchanges by breaking them into parts.

SCRIPTS FOR FOLLOW-UP WITH RECENT PROSPECTS

1. “ Hi (name) did you get a chance to check out the video I tagged you in, and what

did you like best about it?”

2. “Hi (name) I know you are super busy, but when do you think you could get a

chance to check it out? I’m excited”

3. “What did you like best about the post, video’s etc? ……… Fantastic, let me tell you

what information I need to get you started”

Addressing Money Excuses/Objections

1. Response: “I know it is a lot of money to get started but the results speak for

themselves, I’ve found the benefits far outweigh the costs. Can I tell you what

information I need to get you started?”

2. Response: “I thought the same when I first looked at it, until I realised it’s about $7 a

day. I realised then that I spend more than that on coffees and bad snacks everyday.

Changing to healthier eating and losing weight was worth more than the $7 per day

investment. Can I let you know what information I need to get you started?”

3. Response: “If the cost of starting is too high for you, I know how you can get the

products for free and maybe earn some additional dollars. Would that interest you?”

4. “If the money is too high for you, I have a plan. Let me know the names of 8 friends

who will be 100% your accountability partners in this and invest first. Who would

1. Get excited - Your Vibe attracts your tribe. The music you play is far more

important than the words you say. The most bankrupt person in the world is the

person who has lost the ability to dream. Your ability to dream big and then act

upon it is your key to success.

2. Success is a Numbers Game - Like anything, the more people you talk to, the better

your results will be. Success love speed and urgency. The more people you have on

your contacts list, the more people you can share Modere with and ultimately build

a strong leveraged business. It’s all about not being attached to the outcome, but

focused on the activities.

3. Embrace Rejection - It’s OK for people to say ‘No thanks’ It's all about timing in

someone’s life. As you share Modere, many will be ready to join you as a Social

Marketer or a Customer and many will not. Our job is to share the Business and

Mission Opportunity and theirs is to choose their path. A ‘No’ really means ‘not yet’

or even ‘I have more questions to be answered, or even it’s not something I’m

interested in! The key for us is to not take it personally and stay in touch over time

every now and again. Circumstances do change. Leave your prospect with a great

experience so that if and when they change their minds, they think of you first.

4. Look for leaders and excited people that see your vision. The fastest way to grow

your business is with energy, enthusiasm and with people who are like you. Many

great leaders of MLM companies often say “you don't want to be the smartest

person in the room!” Your job is to connect with leaders, seek out networks and be

there to teach and support in the long-term.

5. Do Personal Development Daily. Jim Rohn always said “Work harder on yourself

than you do in your business. “ He also said “Don't wish it was easier, wish you were

better” Reading, listening to empowering audios along with Gratitude journals are

essential rituals to partake in daily. The recommended Reading/Listening list is a

great place to start. Investing 30 minutes a day in your future self will make a

massive difference to the way you choose to respond or react to any curve balls,

negative situations or people in your daily life. 30 minutes every day sets you up for

6. Attend every major event and team event. Leaders are born at Big Events,

Decisions are made at events. Modere Australia provides 2 national company events

per year. It is at these events you see, hear and experience the bigger picture;

what’s possible for you. You’ll see that a powerful group of like minded individuals

can change the world! These events are held at different capital cities around

Australia and provide opportunities for new experiences and masses of fun.

7. Treat it like a Business. Commit to making this a professional business that will

provide you with a guaranteed financial future and not a hobby. Real businesses

make money, hobbies cost money. It’s daily action, time, accountability to your

working support leader, teachability and attendance at team events that will make

the difference. Your business will work if you do. The speed of the leader, is the

speed of the pack. See your time and energy as your core investment.

8. Take Massive Action. Talk to new people every day. Your business will grow and

you will get better at prospecting. It’s a people business, learn to love new people in

your team and choose to work where people are excited and interested. Mastery in

your business will mean you are an Elite 3 Leader.

9. Persist until you succeed. Never Quit! You don't know who in your business will get

excited and build in your team/downline. Persistence & consistency are critical

character traits required for a massive Elite business.

10. Enjoy the Journey. Progress is Happiness. Every great mentor, leader and

philosopher will tell you it is not the destination but the journey that brings great

satisfaction. Yes it will have highs and lows but moving forward on a daily, weekly,

monthly and yearly basis is a great measure of success and commitment. Take a

long-term view and know you are growing along with your business, your life and
