    General Preparations Prior to

    Physical Demolition

    Proposed Demolition Sequence and MethodsProposed demolition Sequence and Methods are based on existing building conditions,Demolition Contractors knowledge and experience put into practice along with the necessary

    calculations and advise from our Civil & Structural Consultants.

    Inspection on Existing Building and Layout DesignAlthough the building is meant for demolition, an inspection on the health of the building is of

    utmost importance. Efforts should be made to acquire the structural plans from the owners or

    consultants or the archives from local authorities.A site visit/inspection will also be carried outby our team and affiliated professionals.

    Safety PrecautionsSafety precautions has to be extensively planned and monitored any kind demolition especially

    along the demolition perimeters. Extra precautions has to be taken to ensure that no debris will

    be accidently ejected outside of the site into the neighboring tenants boundary as well as into

    the public road. The demolition team, consisting of project managers, supervisors, operators,safety officers, etc.. Shall go through an extensive planning hand in hand.

    Soft Stripping/Internal StrippingSoft Stripping will be carried out on the existing building to remove and dispose hazardous and

    combustible material, ie: glass windows, doors, wooden fittings, roofing, steel members, steel

    structures, carpet and etc. This will also control and minimize projectiles from being ejected

    during demolition works.

    Additional Hood/Platform to be added due to heavy pedestrian

    traffic

    industrial netting and 1 layer of Heavy Duty

    Netting at critical zones

    Preliminary Safety Precautions for

    High Rise Structures

    CRAB60 Propping

    Our Professional Engineer(P.E.) will carry out the slab load calculation to cater

    to the movement and vibration from the machineries and subsequently to

    design the propping and bracing required to back prop the suspended slab. This

    will maximize the safety factor and to avoid from any unintended collapse on

    any part of the structure during the course of demolition works

    Demolition Sequence

    Hoisting of Machineries

    The Demolition team and its affiliated professionals, P.E, etc, shall carry out

    necessary calculations and survey of site conditions prior to the hoisting of

    machineries to the roof of structure .

    Demolition Sequence

    Top-Down Demolition

    Physical hacking works will be carried out on floor by floor

    basis starting with the slab, beam and lastly the columns.

    Excavators will be lowered down to the lower floor using a

    steel ramp customized to the structures floor height as

    shown in the diagram on the right.

    External Demolition

    Higher capacity excavators, i.e: EX300 onwards to be utilised for external

    demolition.Excavators are usually fitted with either hydraulic breakers or

    hydraulic crushers.

    Demolition Sequence

    External Demolition & Ground Works

    Once the structure is brought down to a safe level using top down demolition,

    higher capacity excavators will be mobilized to speed up the demolition process

    Upon the complete demolition of the structure, hacking works will be done on

    the ground/basement slab, and subsequently the pile caps.

    Debris & Traffic Management

    Debris will be transported away from site on a progressive basis.

    Warning Signages & Barricades will be placed around perimeter of site.

    Traffic management team to be stationed on site to manage traffic

    whenever necessary.

    Safety, Health & Environment

    Temporary Perimeter Hoarding External Scaffold with 3 layers of protective materials

    (Industrial Netting, Tarpaulin & Heavy Duty safety netting)

    Safety Toolbox meeting to be

    carried out daily.

    Water Pump & Hose Jet will be use to contain and

    minimize dust derived from demolition works
