Parent Tips for Student Success at Home
Create a Designated Learning SpaceChoose a designated learning space that allows your child to feel a sense
of ownership and empowerment when they sit down to learn (i.e. nook in
corner of room, wide hallway, etc.)
Ensure a Relaxed and Quiet EnvironmentMinimize distractions by making sure all toys, games, and activities are
tucked away during learning hours. Check for good lighting and ensure
that the desk/table/chair is a comfortable height with legroom below.
Materials and Supply Station Easy access to school electronic device, charger, and headphones.
Have school books and supplies easily accessible at all times.
Set up an area for supplies (pencils, crayons, markers, notebooks, etc.)
Have a Daily Schedule and RoutineHaving a daily schedule will help with morning, school day,
and after school routines.
