EXPERIENCING DONOR COORDINATION

• A chance to implement larger and more more inovative projects• Donor funds are a chance for Knowledge and experience sharing• Strong need in donor money to push the boundaries• Try to organise multi-donor funds and facilities• Beneficiaries must keep the leadership of the project• Strong local presence and local governmemt support helps ensuring coordination• Donors must have sknowledge of the market• Donors should push for increased transparency• Donors should agree on a common reporting platform and core indicators• Donors should push private – public partnerships, although the “timings” are very

different• Donors have different selection processes which makes it difficult to coordinate

prior to the grant awards• Are the funding opportunities visible enough? Initiatives such as MFW4A• Can donors organise speed-dating for good projects that did not get funding?
