Greetings

falling down What a blessing I must admit however it is
making me very sleepy
Our students have just returned from their fall retreat We had one of our
largest groups participate and the testimonies Irsquom hearing from the students
and adults are awesome God is so faithful Let me express to Ricky Stark
my deepest love and appreciation for his amazing leadership with our
students and educational ministries He pours his life into our students and
we are so blessed to have him
This past Sunday we received deacon nominations Our Deacon Qualifying
Team tells me we had forty men nominated Each of these men will be
receiving an invitation to attend the Deacon Ministry Workshop to learn
more about the qualifications and responsibilities of serving in our church
Pray for these men as they consider the Lordrsquos will in this matter Pray also
for the Deacon Qualifying Team as they lead in this process
This Sunday morning we continue our MYTHBUSTERS series This week wersquoll
be discussing myths about the church and her purpose On Sunday evenings
wersquore studying 1 Timothy I hope yoursquoll join us
Lastly let me invite you to join us in sanctuary at 930AM each Sunday

Thank you so much for all of your prayers for last weekend God did some
amazing things in our lives this past weekend on the Fall Retreat Our
worship leader Brantley did an incredible job leading us and our speaker

leaders including Tollie Ryan Amanda Allison Tina Melanie and Davidmdashand they did
an awesome job leading our small groups and helping us set up tear down and keep
things moving You guys rock and Irsquom honored to get to serve with you We did some
pretty incredible adventure mountain climbing (AKA hiking) to an awesome waterfall
(check out Facebook for pictures) and we ziplined across a lakemdashand we played the
most epic game of late-night capture the flag with glowsticks We had a blast But
most importantly we worshiped the one true God and we heard from Himmdashand now
we want to live for Him
Hey students do you remember what God said to you this past weekend What
needed to change in your life Howrsquos that been going for you Are you sticking to your
game plan or have you already begun to compromise Now that yoursquore down in the
valley donrsquot forget to apply to your life the things God showed you on the
mountaintop Letrsquos live for Him Remember Therersquos a way that leads to death and a
way that leads to life Which one will you choose Love you guysmdashletrsquos live for Jesus

Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes Its time to start stuffing your shoeboxes again These shoebox gifts are such a blessing to both the giver and receiver so we plan to have a special time of blessing for them On collection day Sunday November 21st we will ask you to bring your filled shoeboxes to the front of the
church to have a time of prayer over them Oh what a joy it is to see what God can do in the lives of these children through a simple gift For your convenience plastic shoeboxes will be available in each adult Sunday School class starting this Sunday Please bring a $1 donation for each box you take to help cover the cost of these boxes The plastic boxes are as much a gift to the children as the items inside because it gives them a place to keep their treasures safe and dry

responds ldquoMe too Letrsquos get something to drinkrdquo I know Itrsquos an old joke It does however point out the importance of hearing The Bible teaches ldquoFaith comes by hearinghelliprdquo Those of us on the platform and in the pews owe a debt of gratitude to the folks in the AV booth who help us to hear Godrsquos Word each week Make a point of thanking them for their faithfulness and for a job well done
