I’m very excited about this Sunday morning. Ricky Stark, our Minister of

Students and Education will be bringing the message. As you know, we’ve been studying Family Matters throughout the summer. This Sunday, Ricky

will be continuing the series with a look at God’s Word concerning single

adults. Pray for Ricky as he continues his preparations.

On Sunday, September 6, our message will focus on What Every Couple Should Discover in

Premarital Counseling. I know what you’re thinking, “We’ve been married for forty years,

why do we need to hear all about this stuff?!” Well, you may be surprised!

The following Sunday, September 13, is a very special service. We will be celebrating

marriage in a unique and beautiful fashion. See the invitation below. No need to RSVP -

everyone is encouraged to attend and bring a guest!

Wow, God is pouring out blessings on His church! Each week keeps getting better and better, as we worship, sing, and study His Word together. God is speaking to us, and I pray that we are listening, and waiting in expectation for what He is going to do. As Pastor Scott reminded us Sunday night, the best is yet to come! God is using the choir in an amazing way on Sunday mornings. I am so blessed by the way they are leading us each week in worship. I want to invite any of you who are not currently singing in choir to prayerfully consider joining us. If you feel that this may be something God is leading you to do, first pray about it. Then, if you feel led, come join us one Wednesday evening at 7:10 in the Choir Room and check it out! Or if you prefer, give me a call and I’d love to talk with you about it. We have a great time of fellowship and we work hard, but through it all, we worship together. I think you will be blessed by being a part of this group as much as I am! There’s no better time to join, as we will begin rehearsing Christmas music really soon! I can’t even believe I just said that! Can’t wait to see you Sunday in worship!

Man, have we got an exciting year ahead! As we saw Sunday night, we

have some amazing retreats and camps coming up in addition to the

million other crazy things we’ll be doing this year! First up is the Fall

Retreat. That will be November 6-8 at Awanita. Hummer rides, ziplines,

freezing water, mud pits…need I say more? Keep your eyes peeled for

more details coming soon—and go ahead and start inviting your friends! It’s gonna be

awesome.

DiscipleNow will be in March—more details to come. But the really BIG

announcement is summer camp for next year. We’re going to DAYTONA BEACH—that’s

right: DAYTONA BEACH. And what’s more, our worship leader will be CHRIS TOMLIN—

that’s right: the guy who sings “Indescribable,” “How Great Is Our God,” “Here I Am to

Worship,” “Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone),” “Forever,” “God of This City,” and much,

much more—yea, he’s gonna be our worship leader! Crazy, I know. Those dates are

July 12-16, 2010. You are not going to want to miss that. It’s going to be insane!

Go ahead and mark those dates on your calendar—and tell your parents you

CANNOT go on vacation then J! Space will be limited when sign-ups begin, so be sure to

register early!! Guys, last year was awesome, but this year is going to totally stomp last

year! God’s got great things in store, and I can’t wait to experience them all with you

guys!
