John Adair

John Adair, Visiting Professor of Leadership Studies at the University of Surrey, has

enjoyed a varied and colorful career. He served in the Arab Legion, worked as a

deckhand on an Arctic trawler and had a spell as a hospital orderly. He was senior

lecturer in Military History and Leadership Training Adviser at the Royal Military

Academy, Sandhurst, before becoming Director of Studies at St. George’s House in

Windsor Castle and then Assistant Director of the Industrial Society. He acts as a

consultant in leadership development to diverse organizations. He lives in Guildford

and writes extensively on both management and history. Some of his books are also

EFFECTIVE LEADERSHIP, EFFECTIVE DECISION MAKING AND EFFECTIVE TIME

MANAGEMENT.
