They turned to AWS to support a Fleet Management

System for their industrial power sweepers, as they felt

they needed a cloud provider who allowed them to

rollout their services in dozens of countries just within

minutes. Kärcher has equipped their street sweepers

with sensors that are sending anonymized data, giving

information on their systems. This gives their

customers a better service as Kärcher is able to run

analytics on this data and conduct preventative

maintenance. This data also helps to enhance the

product in future design cycles. Given the number of

sweepers Kärcher has sold, it was not feasible for them

to use their own internal infrastructure so they turned

to the cloud.

Krones daughter Syskron X develops digital end-

to-end solutions for production lines and uses AWS

services to help customers in the food and

beverage industry to optimize their supply chain.

Syskron X’s IoT solution “ReadyKit” monitors the

health and productivity of filling lines through

edge computing, facilitating proactive decision

making to help their customers to stay more

competitive. “ReadyKit” brings intelligence close

the shopfloor and the filling lines there, with low

latency and fast reaction times. By using AWS,

Syskron was able to use the commissioning time by

50%. The cost reduction created by this helped

created a lower entry price for the “Readykit”

system.
