Nominated for a Businessworld design award, we engineered this window Air Conditioner to operate more efficiently by the introducing a state-of the-art digital control system. As well we digitized the remote control and redesigned its user interface to be more easy to use.

We have designed this remote handset to match the sober yet sophisticated brand image of Hitachi. We have included a backlit display for night use. The most frequently used controls are at the top and other specific controls are covered with a flap. We kept the overall form neutral so that the remote unit can be used with a wide range of air conditioner models.

Window air conditioner We developed a range of window Air Conditioners whose appearance was radically different than company's previous designs. One example of our radical design change was to give the intake grill the cleaner, simpler and more attractive visual identity of vertical slots. Also the vertical slots attracted less accumulation of dust.
Our design greatly enhance the appearance of the unit, especially when compared to other company's units that had conventional grills. The intake grill hinges out, making it easier to clean the air filter.

Water cooler for institutional application
These two new water coolers, intended for the large institutional market, were developed to give a new look to the previous water cooler while keeping changes to the existing manufacturing processes and tooling at a minimum. The product was made to look soft using very cheap tools and smart edge trims were used to make the product fit and finish better.

We also design the logo which was to integrate the “Tushar” name and the “VOLTAS” name into one identity. The logo resemble a water splash with droplets to create a sense of purity.

Mist Spraying Machine for fire application

The Mist spraying unit is unique in fire fighting application since it uses one ninth of water required in a regular fire pump for drowsing the same intensity of fire. It creates a mist around the fire and cuts off the oxygen supply to the fire. It is also extremely same to use on any conditions since it does not drown everything with water.

The existing unit gave a feeling of a crude contraption with all motor and pump exposed. Also it was very cumbersome in handling. We styled the product keeping intact the mechanisms and the machine parts of the existing unit and made it a compact product which can be easily pulled and pushed. Criticality of application was also kept in mind while designing.
DESIGN FEATURES:1. Smart looking exterior design giving a feeling of state of the art
machine.2. FRP panels makes it light weight and easy to assemble.3. A protective Stainless steel pipe frame was added.4. The exterior FRP panels also protects the engine and the pump.5. Can be handled easily from the front as well as the rear.

Apart from giving a new identity to the product the challenge in the existing pump unit was make it comfortable for the people carrying it in difficult terrain where fire fighting vehicles can not reach.

DESIGN FEATURES:1. Redesign of frame to make it light weight and easy to carry.2. The fuel tank in plastic to make it attractive and light weight.3. The silencer was designed to make it smart.
We redesigned the frame and the holding points to increase the weight carrying capacity of the bearers and improved the looks by redesigning the aggregates. No extra panels were added.

The Design intervention was focused on converting the total wooden body into a part plastic and part wooden. The wooden base helps in absorbing the vibration and sound muffling and the plastic body make the look and feel of a contemporary kitchen product.

A new identity was given to the existing, very successful Ingersol Rand air compressor to cater to a totally different competitive market segment - the MSMEs in India.

We styled the product and agave a very distinct outer shape to create a visual identity. The other challenge to give a shape that can cater to 6 different sizes and capacities. Also the product was made in sheet metal powder coated to keep it low cost in development as well as unit cost.
The brand identity was also created which included the logo design, color graphics and placement of various other thing.

Built of stainless steel and sheet metal, this kiosk has a place for two gas stoves, place to wash and rinse cups unit and stocks for various ingredients used to make tea. The process of road side vendersmaking tea was kept intact but the it was made more efficient and hygienic. It is mobile, allowing each cart to be easily moved from various location.
The kiosk is low cost and easy to maintain. Mobile Kiosk for the sale of tea and other refreshments.

We designed are manufactured interactive information kiosks for the Centre for Environment Education's permanent education museum in Madhya Pradesh.To educate children on the importance cf we lands to life on the planet, we made short kiosks in brightly colored toy-like shapes. These kiosks were made of Fiberglassreinforced plastic and employed a touch screen interface device on Cathode Ray Tube video monitors.

The idea was to create a shop in a footprint 2 feet by 2 feet which can be placed inside a large showroom selling multi-brands. A distinct identity was created through the shape orientation and graphics so that it was easy to attract customers and promote the “HARRA” brand.
Apart from displaying 60 numbers of different garments it can store and equal number inside. It has LED displays, a FM radio and a cash box to make it convenient for the sales person. The central unit can be rotated to facilitate easier access to various garments.
Its made in sheet metal and is powder coated for durability.

Hutch Anytime Service Kiosk is all weather air conditioned stand alone service platform that can be installed anywhere providing customers round the clock bill payment and recharging facilities. The kiosk has a simple, clean and transparent form of a rounded cube in glass and steel that goes along well with the corporate image of Hutch and all fits in the mall environment it is located in.

We have designed and made the first installation as a tooled up prototype at the site. This product is an outdoor playground equipment in two versions. From each version many combinations could be made. The structures are made of single-walled molded plastic polymer and supported by a matrix of steel pipes. The plastic components are joined by fusion welding for safety and a clean finish.
Many installations has been made across the country and in different sizes.
