The DNI Advantage

Cricket Communications challenged us to develop a solution for fixturing a variety of company stores. We designed and produced a modular system that could evolve and adjust to the unfore-seeable changes and industry growth, without the need to be redesigned and re-fixture every few years. Our Cricket relationship began with an order for $20,000 in acrylic counter displays. Within two years this grew to $2,000,000 annually including 5,000 displays as well as the design, production, and installation of over 200 retail stores.DNI was a key partner to Cricket launching new markets in Chicago, Philadelphia and Washing-ton D.C. This involved producing fixtures for over 400 stores and 1,500 dealerships.

Our relationship with AT&T began by developing a few on-counter display design concepts. An order resulted from the concepts for a total of $50,000. The success of the first order led to a relationship that within three years translated into orders worth over $6,000,000 an-nually, including over 20,000 Point of Purchase Dis-plays. During that period we produced 90% of their in-store marketing, including the production and instal-lation of all of their indirect wireless dealer stores. This helped AT&T achieve a brand presence in over 15,000 locations during that period.

For tax season, Payday Loan Stores asked us to design and produce a portable office for their currency exchanges. The office needed to be easily set up, provide security, and give the cus-tomer a sense of privacy. We designed a modular unit that unfolds from a 17” x 57” x 50” size to form an 8’x3’ office. We built in secure storage areas along with shelves for manuals and brochures. Smoked acrylic panels provide privacy as well as the ability to brand the office. When the tax season is over the Exchange simply folds the unit back up and rolls it into the back room until the following year.This project helped PLS enter a totally new market within their currency exchanges and led to the design and production of PLS Tax Services Permanent Retail locations the following year.

Soundbar speakers have proven to be a very successful category of home audio. As their popularity has grown, so has the need for retailers to improve the way that models are presented to the consumer.

H.H. Gregg and DNI worked together to develop a fixturing program that would allow for associates to conduct effective demonstrations and provide an easy way for consumers to compare speakers. A unique feature of this display is that the programming was made to be univer-sal for all TV and soundbar models. This enabled H.H. Gregg to have flexibility in changing or adding new products to the display.
