Teachers Study Children.Tarents sometimes fail to real

ize that teachers are doing all in i

their power for the advancement!of the children in their chargeand that the failure of the childin the accomplishment of resultsis generally duo to the lack ofproper on the partof the parents and it has beentruly said that a parent who willgo in the right spirit to theteachers of his child and talkwith them about its work andplay will be surprised to findhow much they know about theboy or girl aftd how much of theindividual work whose absence isbemoaned in theory is actuallybestowed in practice. All theboy's strong points and weakones, his virtues and hh peculiartemptations, are 'known andstudied by teachers and princi-pals. Many a child is better understood by his teacher than byhis father or mother; and to ourshame be it faid that what capi-

tal of good manners and highideals and useful practical know!-- !edge aye, and correct conduct

and girls of todayj will carry with them into the.adult life of tomorrow will inj many cases be due to the con-- !scientious teacher more than tohis home precept and example.-- Ex. .
