Hallmark Channel announced its new original scripted

primetime series, The Good Witch, based on the network’s

most successful original movie series of all time starring

Catherine Bell.

The Good Witch series is based on Bell’s beloved character

Cassie Nightingale, the raven-haired enchantress who kept

audiences spellbound for six installments of the network’s

longest-running and highest-rated original movie franchise of all

time. The seventh movie, The Good Witch’s Wonder will

premiere on October 25th at 9pm ET/PT.

The series will be produced by Academy Award nominee, Dan

Petrie Jr., and co-star Critics Choice Movie Award nominee,

Bailee Madison, as the daughter of Cassie Nightingale, played

by Catherine Bell, the lead character of the series.

The series will start production on its ten-episode Season One

this fall in Toronto.

When Calls The Heart

Green Lit for a Second Season

When Calls The Heart, based on the bestselling series of books

of the same name by Janette Oke, has been picked up for a

second season due to the success of its first season. The first

season averaged a 1.6 household rating and made Hallmark

Channel the third rated cable network on Saturday’s 9-10pm.

When Calls The Heart reached 13.7 million viewers, including

2.6 million women 25-54.

When Calls The Heart tells the story of a young woman who

begins a new chapter in her life in an early 20th century coal

mining town.

When Calls The Heart returns in Spring 2015.

Highest-rated Original Movie Premiere of 2014 To-date

Stranded in Paradise, the first Hallmark Channel original

movie shot on location in Puerto Rico, premiered on August

9th to a 1.9 household rating. It was seen by nearly 3 million

viewers, making it the highest rated and most watched

Hallmark Channel original movie premiere of 2014 to-date*.

Stranded in Paradise, based on the novel of the same name

by Lori Copeland, stars Vanessa Marcil and James Denton and

follows the story of a driven executive whose disastrous

business trip to a beautiful island turns into an unexpected

new beginning.

Cedar Cove, Season 2

Delivers Top Ratings

The second season of Cedar Cove debuted July 19th and once

again captivated viewers, garnering a 26% increase in our core

demographic of women 25-54 over season one levels in its

premiere episode.

With its irresistible cast of enticing characters, Cedar Cove’s

season two, after six episodes, is averaging a 1.8 rating among

households and a 0.7 rating women 25-54, once again making

Hallmark Channel the top rated cable network on Saturday’s 8

-9pm hour.

Cedar Cove, starring Andie MacDowell, is based on the Debbie

Macomber novel about the life of a municipal court judge in a

scenic coastal village.

Cedar Cove airs Saturday’s at 8pm ET/PT on Hallmark

Channel.
