Dear Parents,
Beginning on March 19th, students in grades 3-8 will be
taking the Forward Exam, the State of Wisconsin standardized test.
Mrs. Klein is our testing coordinator should you have any questions.
The goal is to have all testing complete by spring break. Please
ensure your child is well fed, rested and in school daily from March
19-28. Mrs. Klein will be sending a more detailed testing schedule
as well. As a reminder, all students will be administered the test. If
you choose to opt your child out of the test, this must be sent to me
in writing. Thank you.
I am very excited to be cheering our 8th grade boys on tomorrow in
the Padre Serra Tournament. It is at Mt. Mary at 10 am. Good luck
to Anthony, Eduardo, Luis and Zamarion.
I am very happy to announce that JPIIA has made it through the first
step of the Exemplary Accreditation process. Next, we will receive a
visit on March 27th by a team.
We are in the midst of Lent and there have been many activities
occurring already. Students are going to Stations of the Cross
weekly, buddy activities and will be going to adoration soon. Please
help with the almsgiving to build another chapel in the Dominican
Republic. Students should bring their white boxes of money each
Monday.
As I have talked about many times, safety is of the utmost
importance. Students participated in a fire drill and a lock down
drill this week. Mrs. Klein is also touching base in all her guidance
classes on our emergency procedures. When we return from East-
er, we will practice tornado drills as well.
This Monday at 1 pm is our school wide Spelling Bee! Good luck to
all our finalists. All are welcome.
Lent Blessings,
Mrs. Schumacher
