Here to Zehr
Be Courageous, Pastor Jerry
I made it back in one piece from my rafting on the Futaleufu River in Chile. It is one of top five rivers in the world to go white water rafting on. The good news is that I never fell out of my raft. I did not realize we would be this close to the Alps mountain range that separated Chile and Argentine. I had a tent on the river bank and every morning I would look out and see the sun coming over the mountains to bring light to the river. I had to fly to Santiago, the capital, then to Port Monti ( two hour flight ) and then take a charter for a half hour and then a two hour bus ride on gravel roads to get there, but it was worth it. The basecamp was magical. I did Yoga every morning and then rafted four days, kayaked one day and rode a horse named Grin-go to a waterfall one day. We had great food (they even made pizza one night) with our eating a lamb on the last day that was raised by a local farmer.
If you would like to see a 3 minute video of another group that rafted the Terminator, the most dangerous and last rapid of the week, click the link at the end of the newsletter.
I wrote a poem about my experience on the Fu river. I hope it gives you a glimpse into this enriching experi-ence I had.
The River of Life
I wake up in the morning and hear the current of the Fu moving through the mountains.
The music of the water awakens my soul as it leaps over stones, drops into holes,, creating eddys like a
dancer swirling in a circle.
The river calls me to come ride its currents, laugh and play as the sun warms the air and my body.
The Fu feeds the earth as it feeds my soul.
It brings new life to the parts of my heart and mind that had become dry and stale.
It is

Message from Pastor Blanche
On Saturday, March 23rd, we will be taking a MYSTERY TRIP. We will leave the church at 8:30 a.m. and return at 5:30 p.m. Registration will begin on February 17th. Please plan on joining us for this exciting adventure.
Praise Jesus everyone! I heard a preacher preached “Breaking up is hard to do.” The Scripture was Romans 7:19 “For I do not the good I want to do but the evil I do not want to do this I keep on doing.” I don’t know if anyone can relate to Apostle Paul. However I can. There are times when I have the opportunity to do great things in the world. Because I have sinned against God. I feel I’m no longer qualified to reach the masses. So,I won’t even apply for the position. In fact I believe that is the sin that I’m actually committing. That’s the good(write a book and be Evangelist) I want to do. but the fear of failure keeps me from applying. The evil that I don’t want to do is what I keep on doing. Giving up, as if I don’t care about the position. “Breaking up is hard to do.” How do you break up with fear (sin)? Jesus is the answer to all our questions. Let go of fear and grab a hold on to faith. Apostle Paul reminds us without faith it is impossible too please God. As soon as I get a little bit more of Jesus, I breaking up with fear (sin)! Who would like to join me?
Love 4 Kids, Pastor Blanche
