Greetings to All !
The state government’s flagship programme “Black Spot Monitoring and Management” which
is first of its kind in the country to track sanitation issues has been carried effectively in Anantapur City.
The programme is a unique solution to develop clean and green ULBs by tracking the priority and normal
blackspots in the ULBs.
The Individual Capacity Building Programme (ICB) which is one of the mission component
under AMRUT has been held from 30th March to 1st April at JNTU Campus Anantapur for all the elected
representatives in Anantapur district. All the corporators from Anantapur Municipal Corporation have
actively participated in training program. Also, Engineer-in-chief (PH) Dr. P. Panduranga Rao garu has
visited Anantapuramu to inspect the progress of proposed works under AMRUT in the ULB.
The Smart Pulse Survey launched on July 8th across Andhra Pradesh with an objective to
ascertain the socio-economic status of people is being carried efficiently in the ULB with over 107
enumerators working on it. 83.34% of total population has been surveyed till April 30, 2017.

ICB Under AMRUT Individual Capacity Building (ICB) is one the Mission Component under AMRUT. The purpose of
individual training is to enhance the functional knowledge, improve the job related skills and
change the attitude of municipal functionaries and elected representatives. As part of it, the
individual capacity building program has been conducted in the dates of 30th March to 1st April
for all elected representatives of Anantapur District, at JNTU Campus Anantapur. Elected
representative from Anantapur Municipal Corporation have actively participated in Capsule-I
training program.
Inspection of AMRUT Works Engineer-in-chief (PH), Dr. P. Panduranga Rao
has visited Anantapur to inspect the progress of
AMRUT works in the ULB. Hon’ble Mayor
Swaroopa, Public Health SE Srinath Reddy,
Municipal Commissioner Satyanarayana ,
Municipal Executive Engineers and Assistant
Engineers has accompanied him during the
inspection. He has instructed the Municipal staff and AMRUT PDMC to prepare DPR of Summer
Storage tank in such a way that its full storage capacity of 6 million MLD is utilised. He also
ordered to speed up the process of DPR finalization for STP in Anantapur.

The Black spot Monitoring and Management (BSMM) App is a unique smart city solution that
enables the Municipal Administration to supervise the black spots, monitor them and get them
fixed within a specific time period. It is a State Government’s flagship program to track sanitation
issues and to develop clean & green ULB’s by tracking the following data
• Priority Black spots – observed in main roads , near educational institutions, hospitals, Transit
points like Airport, Railway Stations, Bus stand, markets, temples, commercial bazaars, etc.
• Normal Black spots – interior low visibility areas, internal roads of wards, etc.
The priority & Normal Black spots needs to be uploaded through BSMM App from the mobile
provided to PH worker.
A team of 9 members along with a Nodal Officer and Assistant Nodal Officer were deployed to
Anantapur district to establish Authentic database of Black Spots in 12 ULBs of Anantapur
district.The excercise was commenced from 26th April 2017 and completed by 4th May 2017.

Smart pulse Survey
The Smart Pulse Survey launched on July 8th across the state with an objective to ascertain the
socio-economic status of people, is being carried effectively in the ULB. As many as 107
enumerators were conducting survey covering all 50 wards in the town. 83.34% of the
households have been surveyed in the Anantapur Municipal Corporation by the end of April
2017.

Public Health SE Srinath Reddy along with Deputy Commissioner and Municipal Executive
Engineers has inspected Muddalapuram Water treatment plant which treats water from PABR
and is a source for drinking water in Anantapur. He has instructed the staff to enhance the
process of purification by additional chlorination and by increasing the percentage of Alum.

A meeting was held by Additional
commissioner P. Krishnamurthy and
Deputy Commissioner Jyothi Lakshmi
with all the Municipal staff on Eenadu
‘Sujalaam Suphalaam’ Programme. The
programme is focused on conservation
of water.
Representative from Eenadu has
explained the significance of the
programme and how the programme is heading forward in Anantapur district. He has also
instructed the staff on how to make people aware on significance of conserving water.
Meeting with all enumertors and supervisors of Prajasadhikara survey was held on April 23,
2017. Instructions were passed by Commissioner I/c , Deputy & Additional Commissioner & TPRO
to all the enumerators to complete 100% survey in the city.
