Apparition of Seven Strange Beings in Iloilo: A Possible Dimensional Encroachment

I was in Cebu City when a friend Noy Pedrosa sent me a video of a TV news report through my

Facebook account. Though I could not understand Hiligaynon too well, it was clear to me that, as

reported exclusive on RATSADA – a RGMA news program; some alien-looking creatures were seen

roaming in Brgy. Lawigan, San Joaquin, Iloilo.

With the children’s testimonies, coupled by the cartographic sketches that were rendered, both given

aspects sparked the hunch that this might be the starting episode of my personal search for the

Stargate. And to make things more astonishing, the relevance of time was a shocking surprise.

Two days before this affair was brought to my attention, I told my good friend Chino Revilla about

my Stargate adventure. He subsequently wrote and submitted an online press statement on September

26, 2010, Sunday.

And to be honest, I did not have any prior knowledge of any encounter such as this. Nobody in Iloilo

even notified me. The only time I came to know about this was in the afternoon of September 28th,

Tuesday. So I decided to leave Cebu and ship landed on October 1 in Iloilo.

My first visit to Lawigan was on October 2, Saturday. But the folks were busy over an important

parish church activity and I was not able to speak with any

witness. This time, I settled for information circulating in the

community.

I also had a brief talk with the acting parish priest, Rev. Fr. Rex

Jiloca, who happens to be my brother-in-law. He also had an

inexplicable experience, though nobody could tell whether such

was related to the phenomenon I was interested in. Nor anybody

was sure whether there was indeed an attack, as there was no

harm or injury done to anyone has ever been reported.

From Escalantera, I went back to Lawigan on October 4, Monday and spoke first with Jo Ed

Alvareza, who, according to the TV report, came in close contact with a creature.

PART I: The Third Encounter with Jo Ed Alvareza

Cartographic sketches.

Alvareza said, the cartographic sketches shown on television – a

RATSADA Exclusive, were based on what he saw when the

light came in contact with the face of a strange being. Though

the facial features were similar to the description given by one of

the girls (Judel Ann), Alvareza stressed that he didn’t see what

the girls saw. He got involved only during the purported third

attack by a lone creature which was on September 26th and not

during the first encounter when two girls Clarissa and Judel Ann witnessed seven beings in their

priestly garments walking on the beach in the early evening of September 22nd. Hence, there could

be an error in assuming that the seven figures shown in one of the cartographic sketches was what

Alvareza had seen, although it was made known that those seven had identical facial features.

Three encounters from September 22nd to 26th

According to Alvareza, there were three known episodes in all.

To him, all those three were related. The last two events

happened in a space of two days after the first instance on

September 22, then on the 24th and 26th.

Because of the first incident, folks in the barangay were advised

to stay vigilant. Due to the unknown risks they were facing in

the midst of another unknown, men were gathered to protect the

area for some possible recurrence.

On the night of September 24 between 9:00 and 10:00 pm, a pregnant woman believed she saw a

creature sneaking and peeking-in from the window outside her hut. So the woman called the attention

of some patrolling men and they immediately responded. Armed with blades and flashlights they

searched the nearby premises. Some climbed the hill. A few

came down the shoreline, but there was nothing. Neither a

trace nor a clue could be found the next morning.

Two nights passed. Between 11 pm to 12 midnight, Alvareza

heard a frantic cry from the same pregnant woman who at that

time, was inside her hut watching TV. Alvareza responded.

With his flashlight on, he glanced upon the face of a lone

creature who was close and across to where he stood. He saw

the creature’s eyes glowed redder and bigger as the stream of light touched some portions of its

forehead.

He described it as bald, having bushy eyebrows, wrinkled

forehead, pointy ears and chin, bearded, wide-shoulders and

stands about 5ft. 8in. or higher in a white priestly garment. He

could no longer discern whether the creature got arms or hands.

What was clear to him was from the shoulder up to the

creature’s head.

Alvareza was determined to engage, conditioned to chase and

lunge the blade when necessary. But he couldn’t move. A

powerful force froze him in a still frame of sort. He could hardly grasp for air and felt a hard

pressure from his throat down to his chest. All the good he could be at that point was to stay stuck

and witness how the creature disappeared in a single bound. He said the creature leapt so quickly that

even by a short blink; the eyes would miss seeing where it went from point A to point B.

PART II: Seven Alien Beings on a Full-moon in Iloilo

Residents swear, none of such kind has occurred, speculated or talked-about in the community’s

living memory.

In the early evening of September 22, 2010, a high school

student and a grade school pupil witnessed the mysterious

appearance of seven “unknown” beings on the beach of

Barangay Lawigan, San Joaquin, Iloilo.

Two related events reportedly followed involving a pregnant

woman (September 24th and 26th) and Jo Ed Alvareza (September

26th) as eyewitnesses. But at the time of my investigation, the

former was no longer available for interview. She quickly moved

out to an undisclosed location after the alleged second visitation that Alvareza got involved with.

We have read from the preceding segment that Alvareza rushed to the area where the frantic cry of a

woman was heard from. The beam of his flashlight caught the face of a lone creature he described as

bald, having bushy eyebrows, a wrinkled forehead, pointy ears and chin, bearded, wide-shoulders

and stands about 5ft. 8in. or higher in a white priestly garment.

Though he was determined to chase, he couldn’t move. Stuck where he was, all he could do was

notice how the creature leaped and disappeared from his sight in a single bound.

One of the men who responded with Alvareza saw the creature escaping as it hopped away at

supernatural speed and distance. Along with others patrolling that night, they chased it farther up to

the rocky ascent towards the main road.

Before reaching the road, one of them hollered: “it hopped and

up it went hiding in the crown of the mango tree!” So they all

rushed, stood and encircled the tree. They pointed their

flashlights and saw some branches swayed. Its leaves and twigs

moved as if some animal was up there hiding, but spotted

nothing.

According to Alvareza, one man hurled a stone in a frail attempt to agitate and dislodge the creature.

Some followed but was told to stop for it might fall hitting a fellow. There were those who stood

close around the tree while others went to the roadside to survey the area. The day broke but all it

was that was. They lost track of the creature.

The September 22nd Incident

It was on a full moon early evening of September 22, 2010, when a high school student and a grade

school pupil spotted the sudden appearance of seven “unknown” beings on the beach of Barangay

Lawigan, San Joaquin, Iloilo. This was the maiden or trigger event preceding the encounters by a

pregnant woman (twice visited), Jo Ed Alvareza and a few others who claimed to have also seen

some strange entities.

Recounting What Their Daughters Saw

According to Janet Pamaluan she saw her daughter Judel Ann, a

grade school pupil, running from the beach-floor towards their

house nestled in an elevated area where she was fixing dinner.

Judel Ann was crying and terribly frightened. With an anxious

tone she asked, “What happened?” Judel Ann sobbingly replied,

“There are strange men in white priestly garments hopping and

limping so oddly on the sandy surface below” [like she’d never

seen before].

Judel Ann was terrified by their looks, though the beings looked to her like ordinary men moving in

strange ways. From where she stood, she saw several men (unsure of the number) with seemingly

identical faces. Some were seen striding, while others were

hobbling like doing the hop-scotch. At the center was a man of

greater stature than the others who accosted him. The central

figure had a long walking stick leaning slightly above his

shoulder.

She had the impression that those men came to snatch children.

It was an idea she got from unverified folk stories concerning

an occult group abducting children in a nearby island (not in

Iloilo) for human sacrifices and returning them sprawled dead [innards out] after several days, to the

same spot where they were taken.

So when she saw them approaching near the spot where she believed her siblings and Clarissa (a

neighbor) were still at, she hurriedly climbed up the rocky ridge to seek help. Her mother

accompanied by relatives came down to check.

Now that they and the rest of their neighbors were alarmed, all rushed to the scene and saw Clarissa

with all the other kids horrified. No one was hurt and neither was anyone missing or abducted. But

the folks viewed this incident as an attack.

Also, the apparition disappeared just as suddenly as it came to view.

Comparing vistas, Clarissa obviously got a better look at the creatures than had it been for Judel Ann.

As she described on TV, the beings had bulgy red eyes and lumpy foreheads. And it fitted the

description given by Alvareza when he encountered a being at close range four nights later.

As to whether these beings were merely wearing identical sets of rubber-molded masks, Alvareza

exclaimed: “Impossible! The head moved in strict coordination with the neck and there was no sign

of it swinging loose off its base. By the agility of the being I saw, one could still detect any unnatural

or irregular twirl from a securely-worn mask.” He added, “It never crossed my mind that the being

was merely wearing a mask because the eyes of the creature were not in such static state. They were

greenish like the eyes of a cat in the dark and would only glow red and big when it touches light.”

This statement by Alvareza concurred with Clarissa’s as she would repeatedly tell her mother

Rowena saying that the eyes of those beings were like that of a cat – greenish in the dark but turn

blazing red when it encounters light.

Rowena also told me that Clarissa was sure about the number –

there were seven of them. She saw a central figure with a long

walking stick accosted by six other beings. All wore white

garments at floor-length and have identical features – bald,

crinkled foreheads, cat-eyed (as described above), pointy chins

and ears, bushy eyebrows and bearded.

As from the statements given by Alvareza and the mothers of

Judel Ann and Clarissa, respectively, none of them could ascertain whether any of the creatures got

arms or hands. Neither had Judel Ann nor Clarissa ever noticed or mentioned anything to their

mothers if these beings have upper extremities.

Differing from the caricature presentation, Clarissa may not actually have been pulled back at the tip

of her collar by some extending arms with grabbing hands. As Rowena affirmed, Clarissa nearly lost

her balance when she got dragged back. But Clarissa never mentioned to her about noticing some

extending mechanism, much so seeing an arm or a hand chasing

her.

For the fact she got away unscathed – as there was no scratch

mark, no stain or strain done to the collar suggesting physical

contact, there is now a string of doubt whether the use of the

term ‘attack’ was appropriate since there was no aggression

shown by the ‘visitors’ to anyone on any of those three

encounters.
