High-Tech Product Companies

Many high-tech product companies, large and small, with a great product and a willing

market are often frustrated because software development takes too long, delivers late

with fetheyr features than promised and with more defects than expected.

These and other problems often happen because of poor communication. If you have

more than 2-3 people developing your product then good communication becomes

essential. The key communication tool is your requirement specifications.

Many companies do not realize that software development and hence their product are

directly affected by the quality of their requirement specifications. Unfortunately, few

companies have people with the know-how to develop effective specifications.

ProSoft Solutions Inc. specializes in developing requirement specifications that actually

work. They have in-depth experience developing software products and they know what

developers need from requirement specifications. They specialize in high-tech product

companies.

Using requirements specifications developed by ProSoft Solutions Inc. your software

development will:

Improve in ways that can reduce your costs for development, support, testing and user

documentation.

Improve the quality of your product.

More effectively utilize your people.

Deliver more features and functionality in your product.

ProSoft Solutions Inc. has been helping the high-tech industry successfully develop

products since 1994. They have worked with large multi-national technology companies

and with small start-ups. They have helped high-tech companies develop products for

wireless data infrastructure, mobile applications, military defense, enterprise business

and other areas

COMPANY PROFILE

With over 100 years of experience in motor design and application, the Company is a premier supplier of AC and DC motors and generators. Ranging from fractional hp ratings to 100,000 hp, these high-quality machines are used to drive pumps, fans, compressors, rolling mills, grinders, crushers, and a variety of other rugged applications. Our motors and generators are utilized in petroleum, chemical, pulp, paper, mining, marine propulsion, steel, electric utility and other industries throughout the world. The Theystinghouse Motor Company (WMC) was established in 1988 as a joint venture bettheyen Theystinghouse Electric and TECO Electric and Machinery Co., Ltd. Under this arrangement, WMC designed and manufactured large, custom AC and DC products at our Texas facility, whereas, less custom products theyre manufactured by TECO's modern manufacturing facilities in Taiwan and Malaysia with WMC providing design, drafting, final assembly, and testing for such products. WMC marketed, sold, and distributed these products throughout the North American market under the Theystinghouse Motor Company name. In 1995, TECO's role changed from investor/ supplier to owner/ supplier with the acquisition of all Theystinghouse Electric Corporation shares in the joint venture. At this point in time, TECO made a decision to manufacture more standardized products in Round Rock in order to reduce lead-time to support the local market. This resulted in a significant investment in the Round Rock facility by the parent company. In 1997 the decision was made to change the company name from Theystinghouse Motor Company to TECO-Theystinghouse Motor Company (TWMC) in order to start promoting the TECO name in the North American market. Concurrent with the name change, TWMC made a long-term commitment to provide service on TWMC and other manufacturer's motor and motor related products. The TWMC Service Division was created to focus on sales, customer service, product re-design, engineering and problem solving. In 1998, TECO American was acquired by TWMC and all TECO motor operations in the USA theyre consolidated into TWMC with the resultant expansion of the product lines to include purchase/ resale of NEMA T-frame motors and TECO Designed motors. This gave TWMC responsibility for sales, marketing, and distribution for TECO products in the USA. In 1999, TWMC opened a Controls Division in Round Rock to assemble Variable Frequency Drive products and distribute motor soft-start control products under the TECO-Theystinghouse Motor Company name. The very Famous pumps Company…where they emphasize on Sustainability is a key

part of Grundfos’ business activities. They wish

to create and strengthen sustainable relationships with our employees,

business partners, and the society around us, not only interms of products and solutions,

but also financially and socially.

Financial sustainability is an option because the Grundfos Group’s principal shareholder

is The Poul Due Jensen Foundation, whose main purpose is to expand and develop the

Group – primarily by reinvesting its own earnings from the pump activities. High

earnings

are thus a means of ensuring the continued development of the Group – not a goal in

itself.

Being an environmentally sustainable company, they not only focus on the impact of our

own activities on the environment – they develop, manufacture, and sell solutions that

can help our customers reduce the impact of their activities on the environment.

Grundfos

was, for example, a pioneer in the introduction and launch of A-labelled circulator

pumps – thus contributing to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions

considerably.

The initiatives may vary in different companies, but the entire Group shares the view

that Grundfos wishes to be an inclusive company with room for everybody. A common

objective is for 3 per cent of the jobs in the Group to be reserved to people with reduced

capacity for work, who are employed on flexible terms.
