1.1. ATISATIS 128.5

1.2. PREFERENTIAL RWY SYSTEM OPERATIONSThe term "Preferential RWY System" (PRS) shall be used to indicate the RWY orRWYs that, at a particular, time are considered by the ATC unit to be the mostsuitable for use by the ACFT expected to land at or take off from the aerodrome,by taking into consideration ACFT performance, surface wind speed and itscomponents.PRS operations enable the use of aerodrome capacity to the maximum extent.During Milas Bodrum APT PRS operations the following RWY configuration will beused in preference to the other configurations: - RWY 10L/R for take-off and/or landing.For PRS operations, ATC unit takes into consideration all the factors statedbelow:- Surface wind; - Air traffic conditions; - Local meteorological conditions;- Environmental restrictions;- Technical infrastructure (i.e. approach and landing aids available, RWY config-

uration, etc.);- Noise abatement.PRS will not be effective under the following circumstances: - In case the instrument approach/departure procedures available for the pre-

ferred RWY/RWYs are not convenient for landing and/or take-off operationsunder the existing meteorological conditions at the time of operation;

- In case the requirements set forth in article no. 3 for tailwind component arenot met;

- In case braking action for the preferred RWY/RWYs is less than "good, good,good";

- In case wind shear has been reported or forecast, or when thunderstorms orheavy rain is reported or expected to affect the landing and take-off opera-tions to be conducted from the preferred RWY/RWYs;

- In case low visibility operations are in progress.Unless otherwise notified by ATC, PRS operations shall be used in compliancewith the conditions stated below: - When the preferred RWY/RWYs is/are dry and tailwind component is not

greater than (does not exceed) 10 KT; or- When the preferred RWY/RWYs is/are wet and tailwind component is not

greater than (does not exceed) 5 KT. Note: When braking action for the preferred RWY/RWYs is less than "good,

good, good": RWY/RWYs to be used shall be selected so as to make landingand take-off into the wind.

It is the pilot’s decision and responsibility to accept or refuse the use of pre-ferred RWY/RWYs determined by ATC. If the pilot-in-command requestspermission to use a RWY other than the preferred one for landing or take-offoperations due to safety or performance reasons, this request will be met by ATCwhen it is available. In such cases, ACFT may be subject to delay. ATC shallnotify pilots of delays expected to exceed 30 minutes.

Announcement by ATIS during PRS operations in progress: - ATIS announcement for take-off traffic:

"PRS operations are in progress. Pilots unable to comply with PRS operationsfor RWY 10L/R shall notify the relevant ATC unit at the time of requestingstart-up clearance. This traffic may normally be subject to delay."

- ATIS announcement for landing traffic:"PRS operations are in progress. Pilots unable to comply with PRS operationsfor RWY 10L/R shall notify the relevant ATC unit at the first contact or 20 minutes in advance of the ETA (whichever is earlier). This traffic may nor-mally be subject to delay. Aircrew must comply with the requirementsannounced by ATIS."

1.3. EXECUTION OF DIRECT TO CLEARANCE FOR GNSS-BASED RNAV STARS AND SIDSATC may clear the ACFT "DIRECT TO" a waypoint published in a SID/STAR for sequencing or separation purposes. After reaching the waypoint, the ACFT arerequired to follow the remaining part of the SID/STAR.

1.4. MANDATORY IMPLEMENTATION OF RNAV (GNSS) SIDS AND STARSRNAV (GNSS) SIDs and STARs procedures are mandatory for P-RNAV approvedACFT. Therefore, the P-RNAV approved ACFT arriving/departing to/from LTFE arerequired to flight-plan or submit a Change Message (CHG) concerning the routesection of their RPLs as described below.1. GNSS-based RNAV STARs for LTFE start from the waypoints/fixes OKESA,

MARIS, YUNUS and KAVAK. These waypoints/fixes shall be the last element ofthe flight-planned routes for the P-RNAV approved ACFT as illustrated below:- A flight-planned route for the arrivals to LTFE via CARDAK;

EXAMPLE: ..... UW78 CRD UW95 TAVAS UW95 KAVAK2. GNSS-based RNAV SIDs for LTFE end at the waypoint/fixes YUNUS, MARIS,

AKSEK, AKBUK and KAVAK. These waypoints/fixes shall be the first elementof the flight-planned routes for the P-RNAV approved ACFT as illustratedbelow:- A flight-planned route for the departures from LTFE via KAVAK;

EXAMPLE: KAVAK UW95

2.1. COMMUNICATION FAILURE PROCEDURE2.1.1. RF FOR IFR FLIGHTS OUTSIDE TMA

Select transponder code 7600. Follow the flight plan route using last assigned andacknowledged FL. For 3 minutes execute relative STAR after passing UMRON,AGEVA, OKESA or EKVAP waypoints. Then descending 9000’, proceed to BDR VOR.Descend to 6000’ over BDR VOR, execute Instrument Approach Procedure (IAP)and land.

2.1.2. RF FOR IFR FLIGHTS INSIDE TMA

ACFT at or above 6000’

Select transponder code 7600. For 3 minutes execute last assigned and acknowl-edged ATC instructions. Then descending 6000’, proceed to BDR VOR. Leave BDRVOR at 6000’, execute IAP and land.

ACFT below 6000’, at or above 5000’

Select transponder code 7600. Then, climbing 6000’ proceed to BDR VOR. LeaveBDR VOR at 6000’, execute IAP and land.

ACFT below 5000’

Select transponder code 7600. Proceed to relevant Final Approach Fix and land.

2.1.3. RWY 28R STEEP GS ANGLE (CAT I AND CAT II) REQUIREMENTS FOR AIR OPERATORS WHICH CONDUCT COMMERCIAL AIR TRANSPORT OPERATIONS TO MUGLA/MILAS-BODRUMOperators shall consider APT category as "Category B" (EASA AMC1ORO.FC.105, Route/Area and aerodrome knowledge for commercial operations -Aerodrome knowledge; category B).Operators shall comply with "EASA AMC1 ORO.FC.105" for crew requirements.

2.2. CAT II OPERATIONSRWY 10L/28R approved for CAT II operations, special aircrew and ACFT certifica-tion required.

2.3. OTHER INFORMATIONCaution: Follow ATC instructions for serviceable hook and net barriers to be

used for landing operations.
