1.1. NOISE ABATEMENT PROCEDURES1.1.1. RUN-UP TESTS

Request for engine testing clearance at any type of regime, as well as any ques-tion regarding engine testing procedures, must be addressed to:

Engine performance testing at idle speed with a duration of less than 2 minutesmay be performed at stands 4A, 5, 6, 6A, 7, 8 and 9.Engine performance testing at idle speed with a duration longer than 2 minutesmay be performed at stands 2, 3, 4, 10, 11, 12, 12A, 13, 14 and 14A.If the testing is not at idle speed it must take place at the thresholds.

1.2. STANDSTILL OF OPERATIONS IN THE MOVEMENT AREA PROCEDURE (PPOAM)Standstill Operations Procedure in the Movement Area is available, when RVR isbelow 550m with the following phases:PHASE 0: Notice: Conditions of RVR below 800m: notification to all concerned services and users toprepare.PHASE I: Standstill of operations: RVR is below 550m: TWR shall not authorize operations while these conditionspersist, except special operations provided for in the procedure.PHASE II: Renewal of operations: RVR is 600m or above with a steady trend towards improvement, after checkingthe status of the facilities and especially the movement area, if appropriate.

1.3. RWY OPERATIONSRWY 36 shall be used for take-off and landing whenever the tail wind componentdoes not exceed 10 KT and/or a cross wind of wind 25 KT.All jet ACFT must back-track at RWY end following taxi guidance sign.

1.4. TAXI PROCEDURESOnce cleared to taxi, the ACFT must start taxiing in less than 60 seconds, other-wise the authorization will be cancelled.

1.5. PARKING INFORMATIONAt stands 4, 4A, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9: - Use of 400 Hz facilities is mandatory.- The use of the ACFT APU (Auxiliary Power Unit) is prohibited in these stands

in the period between 2 minutes after blocks-on for arrivals and 5 minutesbefore blocks-off for departures.

- The ACFT APU may only be used when the 400 Hz facilities or mobile units arenot operating.

1.6. OTHER INFORMATION1.6.1 GENERAL

Helicopter operations.Area of magnetic abnormality.RWY 36 right-hand circuit.

1.6.2. WIND PHENOMENAHillside wind generates strong turbulence in an area of up to 10NM, within alti-tudes of 1000' to 1500'. It is produced for RWY 36 by wind direction btn 210^ and310^, with an intensity of 15 KT or more and QNH less than 1008 hPa.Additionally, hillside wind can be found with QNH of 1000-1003 hPa with intensi-ties less than 15 KT.A strong windshear effect can be produced in short final position (of up to 50')with variations of direction and intensity of 10 KT and 10^ between the APT'sanemometers. Under such circumstances, when wind direction is close to 330^,the effects of windshear and turbulence can appear combined. When the hillside wind has a direction of 210^-310^ and an intensity higher than15 KT, an approach is not recommended. It is recommended that aircrews have a basic level of recent experience in theairport.

2.1. RWY OPERATIONS2.1.1. MINIMUM RWY OCCUPANCY TIME

ACFT shall initiate the take-off immediately after alignment with the corre-sponding RWY centerline. Pilots unable to comply shall notify ATC beforeentering the RWY to taxi.
