Welcome to our Open House, Private Treaty 2-Year-Old Bull Sale. It certainly is a long title, however that is the most complicated bit about it. How it works: no bulls are offered for sale prior to Feb. 7 at 11 a.m. This gives everyone equal opportunity at the bulls, with none being cherry picked prior to the Open House. The bulls are all individually priced and available from Feb. 7 on. If you can’t make it on the 7th, that’s alright; just call or text your bull(s) of preference and they can be purchased over the phone. It is a first come, first served format, so what the individual’s price is, is what you pay. No bidding or auction, just a handshake sale.

The younger group of our Red Angus bulls are kept to make 2-year-olds. A group of Red cows are bred to calve April, producing these bulls. They are the same genetics and program as our popular Yearling Bull Sale, just older and developed for service as 2-year-olds. Durable and can see heavier service, these bulls answer the questions that our customers have been asking about providing them with quality aged herd bulls.

All of our Charolais cows are summer bred, so you are getting the best of the group. Every white bull is specifically kept to make a 2-year-old. Maternal, docile and hardworking are the back bone of our Charolais cowherd. They live an unpampered life right beside our Red Angus cows so you bet they are efficient.

This group of bulls is developed specifically for this sale. None of them have ever been offered for sale before. They were weaned at the same time as our spring sale bulls, but in early January were separated and fed a lighter, growing ration. Sent to grass in April, they spent until late October on pasture and received no supplemental feed. We brought them back in and put them again on a high forage based diet with absolutely no barley (grain or silage), to develop slowly. Housed in a large paddock, these bulls are sound, athletic and fed to last.
