To achieve Premier, you need tohave five active Bronze ExecutiveDistributors in your Downline. The fifth of Jean and Day’sDownline to qualify were Andyand Helen Walsh.

“Helen and Andy wanted toreach Bronze Executive in twoyears – and they have. This

business is really just about helping others’ achieve their goals,”Jean Day told EWB. So we decided to catch up with this couplewho were integral in helping Jean and Mike achieve their goal.

Andy and Helen Walsh joined Kleeneze in 2006 and followingclosely in the footsteps of their sponsors, the Days, they haverocketed up the Sales Plan to Bronze Executive Distributor.

“You end up building friendships with people in this business, soit makes it even more special that when we hit Bronze, Jean andMike achieved their goal too,” explains Andy, who works thebusiness on a part-time basis alongside his job working at theHead Quarters of the Post Office.

However, Andy’s positive attitude towards the business wasn’talways this way. In fact, when he heard Mike and Jean were ontheir way to his home to talk to the couple about Kleeneze, hisresponse was less than optimistic!

“Helen worked in childcare and was a lecturer for Adult Learnersfull-time before joining Kleeneze. She really enjoyed it, eventhough it was very stressful. However, when the two colleges inour area, including the one she worked for, merged into onebefore we knew it, Helen had received her P45 in the post.

“That’s when she answered the ad on the Internet,” continuedAndy. “She didn’t tell me until the morning Jean and Mike weredue to come and speak to us and I just said: ‘if it’s that Kleenezeor Bettaware, they can get lost’! I was embarrassed, almostashamed, at the thought of delivering catalogues in my local area. But Helen had made her mind up, so we just got on with it.

It was three days after we started that Jean and Mike asked us tocome to a Business Opportunity Meeting and there I heard RamLaing speak. It was as if he was speaking directly to me –everything he said about feeling embarrassed when he first startedrang these bells. Also, when Jean and Mike had been sat on oursofa telling us about Kleeneze and showing us that they wereearning £7,000 a month, I had thought well if you can do that socan I.

Our first full period was Period 9 of 2006. We spent the first sixmonths purely retailing – that was our training ground. Oncewe’d built up a solid customer base, then we could get out thereand focus on the sponsoring.”

It was sponsoring that quickly moved the couple’s businessforward. In order to achieve Bronze Executive, you need to havetwo Gold Distributorships in your Downline, but it was havingtheir eye on the prize and, again, a very simple method that hasseen them achieve this.

“We just followed what Jean and Mike taught us,” said Andyfrankly. “It’s fantastic, because there’s this system out there and allyou have to do is follow it. You don’t even have to think!

Our most important goal is to get the Vauxhall Corsa, but we willbe going on that Cruise, as well. Hey, if we have to sit throughseven days of cruising on the Caribbean in order to get our freecar, then that’s what we’ll have to suffer!”

ON A CORSA SUCCESS

Twenty-four little hours ago, EWB received an email confirming thatJean and Mike Day had done it. They are officially Kleeneze’snewest Premiers.

Six years ago, Mike and Jean both gave into the (relentless!) attemptsby Jackie and Peter White to sponsor them into the business. Previously, they had both been earning very good salaries and simply weren’tinterested. However, when Mike was made redundant for the secondtime at the age of 56 and soon after Jean found herself in the sameboat, they decided it wasn’t an opportunity they could afford to ignoreanymore. Their Kleeneze business was born.

Now, they’ve hit Premier, so EWB caught up with the couple the nightafter their meeting, where they were officially recognised by ManagingDirector, Jamie Stewart.

“We’ve had the goal to hit Premier since we joined the business - itwas our six year goal” explains Jean. “We watched Jackie and Peterachieve it and knew that we could too. We haven’t come back to earthsince it was announced! It really has been fabulous. And it wasfantastic to have Jamie there last night at our meeting.”

The Days have achieved this status in an incredibly short space oftime, but are very frank when it comes to the methods they have usedto get there.

“Getting to Premier is really just about coaching others to achieve theirgoals,” says Jean matter-of-factly. “That’s all this business is about. There’s no secret to it. All you need is a solid Frontline and focus and

Of course, just as Andy and Helen have helped Jean and Mikewith their goal, Downline from the Walsh’s is a couple who havejust gone Gold. Cathy and Geoff White joined Kleeneze justseven months ago and have already made their way up the SalesPlan to collect their bright shiny Gold medal!

“It was a great surprise,” laughs Geoff. “I can’t even tell you howwe got there really. We just get out, deliver the catalogues andcollect and somehow we arrived at Gold. I really have the highestregard for the company, for all the support they offer you; it’sthings like when Amtrak went into administration, the speed ofwhich Kleeneze turned that around.

“However, our success is really all down to our Upline, Helenand Andy. They offer us so much support – in all ways; practicallyand emotionally.”

Geoff (72) and Cathy (56) joined Kleeneze after they retired andfound out that they had lost their pensions. The drastic news hadthem looking for an alternative where they could make money –and fast!

“Before we retired, we worked in the catering business – alldifferent aspects of it, from corporate to fast food. We catered forthe Liverpool Festival Gardens for two years. At one point, weeven built a snail farm – at the time it was the biggest one inEurope! However, the one thing that we’ve learnt from working inthe catering business that has helped us with our Kleenezebusiness is customer service. Each customer would always get apersonal ‘good morning’ and eye contact. This is something we’vecarried on and it has helped to build our customer base.

You need to take just a minute out of your time to talk to yourcustomers – even if you know you need to get on and delivermore catalogues.”

Just before they retired, the couple decided to invest in property. However, due to a global economic downturn, they regrettablylost money in this venture. Now, they’re quickly making a successof their business, though, and with one of the most incrediblypositive attitudes we’ve come across in a long time, have theirsights set on moving even further up the Sales Plan.

“When we first joined, we looked at all these people with theirgold medals and thought ‘can we really achieve these things?’ Butit can be done!” says Geoff. “If we can do it, anyone can! We’vegot our goals to keep on climbing up the Sales Plan now, but oneof our main ones at the moment is to get out to America to visitour daughter.”

HOW TO JOIN THE PREMIER LEAGUE:To become a Premier Distributor, you need to have five activeBronze Executive Distributors in your Downline. For someone toreach Bronze Exeuctive Distributor level, they need to have twoGold Distributors in their Downline.

Premier Distributors are entitled to:• One-off payment of £3000• Increased income due to Premier Bonuses• Immediate qualification for the next Spring Destination• Immediate qualification for the next two Autumn Destinations

FROM BREEDING SNAILSTO SPEEDY SALES!

NCE A DAY MAKESconsistency. In the first three years of joining the business, we workedaround the clock. We worked weekends and never had a holiday, apart from when we qualified for theConferences the company put on. We knewthat in order to reach Premier, which is anelite level, we would have to put in the energyand the effort.”

Reaching Premier Distributor status meansthat Jean and Mike are entitled to animmediate £3000 bonus, immediatequalification for the next Spring Destination, immediate qualification for the next twoAutumn Destinations, plus the increasedincome due to Premier Bonuses. It’s certainlynothing to be sneezed at, but the couple aretaking it all in their stride and even have theirnext goal all mapped out.

“We’re not going to relax,” Jean stresses. “Our next goal is to becomePrincipal. Now we’ve got to this level, we just need to take baby stepsto keep on moving up the Sales Plan by helping our Bronze Executivesreach SED. We now have a fabulous residual income, but one of thenicest things is to see the people who started up with us, doing sowell in the business. They’re such loyal, committed people.”

It is this belief in other people that has helped Jean and Mike becomepart of the exclusive club that is Premier. “We have always wanted to

inspire; we, ourselves have followed in the footsteps of Peter andJackie White,” explains Jean. As for anyone who has just started up

with the business and wants to make it theirgoal to capture the coveted title of PremierDistributor? The Days’ advice is simple:

“You need to want it. Put your dedication forthis business before everything else. A big partof success, I believe is getting people to themeetings. When we first started our meetings,Jackie and Peter used to travel up to teach ushow to hold them. Then when we got toGold, they let us get on with it. We used tohave our meeting at a Travel Inn with only 5people. Now we hold it at the Park Royal forabout 100-200 people – that speaks volumes.Once a month, we also meet our keyfrontlines on a Saturday afternoon, plus wetravel all around the country to meetings. It’s

commitment to other people.

“The best advice we could give to new Distributors is work harder, contact warm market and don’t work with the wrong people. Workwith walkers, not talkers. The attitude of people in this business isinfectious and hard to describe to other people.Once your attitude is right and your mindset is right andyou can achieve anything.”

IT’S A KLEENEZE CHRI“There have been some outstanding orders already from the ChristmasCatalogue, and the next few periods will give us all the opportunity ofsome high earnings.

So if you have’'t already done so, get those Christmas book circulatingamong your customers.

We have been in this business for 12 years, and THIS year’s ChristmasCatalogue is the best we have had!"

Mike and Margaret Drayton

Mike Pirie also shocked us with the statistic that 95%of his team who did HIT their bonus level (in Period 9),are retailing with the new Christmas Catalogue. The5% who missed out, do not yet have it.

If you want to see who in your team has got theright tools to achieve all their goals over the

next few Periods, check your GSA (Group Sales Analysis). If they have already got the Christmas Catalogue, theletter ‘c’ will show after their name in brackets (c). If not, itwill be blank.

Elsewhere, Ian Pilkington contacted us to tell us that Shaun Bradburyhas amassed a whopping £920 of orders from the ChristmasCatalogue in four days! Moments afterwards, he found out thatShaun’s total had risen to £1960, to be ordered over the next 12weeks, thanks to his spread the cost of Christmas form.

Diane and Bob Goulding also had great news for us:

“Liz Blake on her first pick-up of Christmas orderstexted me to say that she had £56 orders forChristmas. Five minutes later, another text camethrough letting me know she had another £43.And then a third text letting me know she hadanother £59. That’s £918 of orders, of which£286 were for Christmas – in September!

Also, one of our new starters, Karen Campbell, has just placed her firstorder of £250 from the Christmas and Main Book!”

Distributor Peter McCormick has started at a great time, as hissales can testify!

“We started putting books out in the first week of period 9 anddropped 80 catalogues. We did get £97 worth of orders and droppedanother 90 that week and reached a total of £180 worth of sales. Byday 10 we had already recovered our initial investment of £130 whichwas amazing.

Following great help and support from our upline Nick and BridgetteLinton-Butt, a visit to our first conference and a really inspiring meetingwith Glyn Hobden, we set about retailing the Christmas book withgreat gusto. By splitting out the Christmas Book with either Health &Beauty or the Main Book we doubled our opportunity to open doors

with the big Christmas guy himself ‘Robbie’ the singing Reindeer. Oursales went from almost £1.05 per book dropped to £2.10 per bookand placed our final order of the Period for £348 retail from 165books. Our first period has resulted in £297.46 earnings, our firstsponsored new distributor already out getting orders in period 10, andanother 2 new people in the wings for the coming weeks.

There is no better time to start with Kleeneze with ‘Robbie’ doing allthe selling for you and people looking for that extra income. Add tothat, the fact that we are already sitting on over £300 worth of ordersalready in Period 10, we are looking to have a great start with enoughincome to last more than the 12 Kleeneze Days of Christmas.”

“In the past, September has beentraditionally the month when people are‘planning’ their Christmas purchases, butthis year it looks set to be very different.People are spending and if you have yetto get your Christmas books outto your customers, you are missingout big time!

"We put out 306 books with theChristmas Catalogue in and received £918.39 in sales this week. Ofthis £215 is for Christmas product. However, we have had several pre-orders filled out to the value of £274, as well.”

Gail and Stuart McKibbin, Senior Executive Distributor

“Here are the fantastic stats on our first drop using theChristmas Catalogue.

On a drop expected to bring £180 in orders, we have received £365of which £117 are Christmas items. One customer who only everspends about £3, spent £6.50 of which £3 was Christmas products, and a customer who has only ordered once before spent £75 of which£60 was on Christmas items.

To top this off, I have just delivered the £75 order and, thanks to ourdemonstration, received an order for the reindeer. Not a bad resultconsidering that, after being told last year that September was tooearly for the Christmas Catalogue, I actually haveCabouchon at the front and Christmas at the back of the pack.

Our order this week instead of being £500 as expected was actually£670 including £20 Cabouchon!”

Katrina Harvey and Ian Winstanley, Gold Distributors

“Our latest drop resultedin thirty seven customersordering £443 from theChristmas Catalogue.“

“What a great advert our new T-shirts are! We love them and feel they make us look more businesslike andprofessional. When Geoff was shopping recently, the shop assistant asked him all about Kleeneze. Geoff gavehim an information pack and we will be following this up.” Geoff and Maggie Shepherd, Silver Distributors

89 shopping days until Christmas and the media is still full of horror storiesof the credit crunch. However, we’re pleasantly surprised to find that homeshopping is actually BENEFITTING from this economic downturn. Why?Manifestly, because with so many watching their pennies this year, thehigh street is simply too expensive, but there are a few other reasons thatmake home shopping the most attractive option for Christmas:

Park yourself on that sofaWith petrol prices at a record high, it’s really no wonder why people arechoosing to leave their car in the garage rather than heading out to theshops. Home shopping is a great way to get all of the gifts you needwithout cutting down on costs to pay for petrol.

And relax…Home shopping is simply the most convenient way to get everything youneed for Christmas. Forget fighting the crowds, driving around endlesslyfor a parking space or having to unceremoniously dump the childrensomewhere so you can get their gifts. You don’t even have to brush yourhair or remove your favourite, seen-better-days, fluffy bunny slippers. Justsit down with a nice cup of tea and shop to your heart’s content.

Treat yourselfProbably the most compelling reason to home shop is the prices. You canmake whopping savings by shopping out of the Kleeneze catalogue, as wehave the most competitive prices around. In a climate when even the toothfairy is less giving, make sure you treat your nearest and dearest andyourself this Christmas.

Be selectiveEver got down one end of the high street, remembered you wanted tobuy your grandfather his annual pair of socks only to have to struggle allthe way back, laden with parcels, usually in a downpour and a very foulmood. Thanks to our selection of five catalogues, there are hundreds ofdifferent items at your fingertips.

Take your timeThere’s always one family member that’s, let’s face it, difficult to buy for.Rather than traipse endlessly round the shops looking for that perfect gift, catalogue shopping means you can flick through the books and get somegreat ideas for a present they’ll never forget.

“I recently became a KleenezeDistributor after having my little

boy in March and deciding that unless Ireally needed to, I didn't want to returnto my previous job.

One of the first orders I had to deliver was to a middle aged-woman who suffered from ill health and had recently moved intothe same village as me. We got talking and I told her why I starteddoing Kleeneze. She explained that she didn't know many people inthe area and invited me for coffee sometime.

The following month it was a beautiful day so decided to get thefresh air and walk with my son in the pushchair to deliver theorders. When we reached this lady, she invited me in. I explained Icouldn't as my son had fallen asleep in his chair. She proceeded tocome outside and see him.

Nothing out of the ordinary, you’re thinking! We got talking, sheshowed me around her garden and then went inside to get themoney for her order. Her husband than came up and thanked me. Ididn't understand. But then he explained that his wife hadn't beenoutside their home very much in the last four years and not at allsince moving in their new home a year ago, as she suffers fromagoraphobia. She has now started going out on short trips and hasrecently joined a ladies club.

Go the extra mile. Not only have I got a customer, but I now alsohave a friend. Isn't that what Kleeneze is about?”
