CURBSIDE PICKUP

The City of Bellville is providing a designated Fall Clean-Up Service from September 28, 2020 through October 3, 2020. This service is provided for the ben-efit of the City’s resi-dents and promotion of the beautification of our City. Citizens must have debris at curbside by 7:00 a.m. on Mon-day, September 28th.

The following re-quirements must be followed.

1. Items of different types MUST be seper-ated, i.e., metal in one pile, plastic in one pile, branches in another,

etc. ANY REFUSE NOT SEPARATED WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED!!!!!

2. Appliances that use freon will not be ac-cepted unless the freon has been removed by an authorized dealer and proof is presented.

3. Items weighing more than 100 pounds will not be accepted.

4. No hazardous waste of any kind will be accepted- such as paint cans, insecticides, tires, etc.

5. All trimmings, i.e., shrubs, grass, leaves, etc. must be bagged, boxed, or in a garbage

can. City crews will not accept clods of dirt, tree roots, tree stumps, any loose materials, brick or concrete.

6. For chipping, all branches must be to a length not less than four feet (4’) nor more than six feet (6’) with the diameter not to exceed six inches (6”). Chipping that takes longer than 15 minutes will incur a fee charged at normal rates.

7. If any resident has MORE than a three (3) cubic yard truck load of debris, there will be a $25.00 charge or $25.00 per hour, whichever is greater.

ANY ITEMS NOT MEET-ING THESE REQUIRE-MENTS WILL NOT BE AC-CEPTED!

Citizens may bring items themselves meeting the above requirements to the Recycling Center at 600 West Nichols during this period at no charge

upon the presentation of a City utility bill stub. Hours are M-F from 8 a.m.-12 noon and 1:00-4:00 p.m. Any questions please call City Hall at 865-3136. We appreci-ate your cooperation in this matter. Thank you.
