The chosen area

this area according to the site analysis which need to be developed because it suffering form of :

1- traffic jam 2- short of car Parking3- Accessibility ( by buss or feet )4- lake of Taken advantage of the views5-high people density

reasons

the urban design of the area does not reflect the advanced technology which the area providing

targets first solving al the current problems & :

1- make the area as landmark to the city2- add more value to the area in all aspects( commercial , environmental , social ,etc) ,3- extend the pedestrian space without interrupting the cars movement. 4- link the business area to the entertainment area To attract a greater portion of people .5-serving people with special needs

The concept

Is to make a bridge inspired by fiber optic cable to emphasize the character of computer market. This bridge will cross olaia.ST to king fahd.ST ( east to west ) on a view axe & another bridge will intersect with the first one in side the area to link the computer market to the green square in king Fahd public library ( south to north )

The current plan & existing problems

Scale – 1:1300

One of the main problems there's no ramp for carts

It’s Easy to reverse the entrances

There is no place for Trucks ( loading , unloading ) so it

blocks the roadReversing because of jam in

the area

Its two way direction for cars with a ramped platform for (loading , unloading ) and another platform in the middle of the road to prevent the zigzag movement of pedestrian . Above that there are bridges linked to the ground , a parking building , malls & green square .
