How to create a new Google Analytics account to be set up on

your website

Where do I begin?

To create a new Google Analytics account, go to http://www.google.com/analytics/Click on Access Analytics.

Creating a New Account

Using your domain e-mail address, create a Google account in order to keep track of your Google Analytics.

Your domain e-mail address will be based on your website’s primary URL.

Ex: email@advisorproducts.com

Welcome to Google AccountsNow that your Google account has been created with your domain e-mail address, proceed to setting up your Google Analytics account by pressing “Click here to continue”

Start Using Google AnalyticsListed below are the basic steps to getting started. Click Sign Up to begin.

Creating Google Analytics Account

Fill in the appropriate details including, most importantly, your Website’s URL. Accepting the user agreement will create your new account.

Google Analytics – Tracking CodeCongratulations on setting up your Google Analytics account. Now you will be provided with your Tracking ID and the code that can be placed on your website. We recommend if you are hosting your website with Advisor Products, and have a single domain URL, to select One Domain with multiple subdomains. Otherwise if you are tracking multiple domains, select the Multiple top-level domains option.

Google Analytics - Tracking Code

In order to begin tracking your website, send Advisor Products the code provided on the prior screen. Alternatively you can copy and paste the “Email these instructions” text directly into an e-mail to service@advisorproducts.com to be placed into your website.

After Advisor Products has completed the Analytics integration with your website, you can begin tracking your website directly through Google at http://www.google.com/analytics/

If your Google Analytics tracking code is ever needed again, it can be found after logging in by clicking the Admin button 1 in the top right, then the Tracking Code2 tab.
