Foreclosure filings for New Jersey was 44% higher than a month ago, and 66% higher
than a year ago. Layton, NJ was the city with the highest foreclosure filing of the state.
With currently 3 properties in some stage of foreclosure, the average sales price for a
non-distressed home in New Jersey was $270,000, while a foreclosure property was 37%
lower, priced at $169,000.
#4) Illinois Foreclosures
Foreclosure filings for Illinois was 38% lower than a year ago, but did not increase or
decrease since last month’s report. Plano was the city with the highest foreclosure filing
in Illinois. With currently 217 properties in some stage of foreclosure, the average sales
price for a non-distressed home in Illinois was $169,000, while a foreclosure property was
41% lower, priced at $100,000.
#3) Maryland Foreclosures
Foreclosure filings for Maryland was 10% higher than a month ago, and 98% higher than
a year ago. Baltimore, MD was the city with the highest foreclosure filing of the state.
With foreclosure filing of 42% higher than a previous month, and 96% higher than a year
ago. The average sales price for a non-distressed home in Maryland was $240,000,
while a foreclosure property was 40% lower, priced at $145,000.
#2) Nevada Foreclosures
Foreclosure filings for Nevada was 28% higher than a month ago, and 35% lower than a
year ago. Pahrump, NV was the city with the highest foreclosure filing of the state. With
currently 510 properties in some stage of foreclosure, the average sales price for a non-
distressed home in Nevada was $168,000, while a foreclosure property was 17% lower,
priced at $140,000.
#1) Florida Foreclosures
Foreclosure filings for Florida was 19% higher than a month ago, and 13% lower than a
year ago. Port Saint Lucie was the city with the highest foreclosure filing of the state.
With currently 5,014 properties in some stage of foreclosure, the average sales price for a
non-distressed home in Florida was $145,000, while a foreclosure property was 29%
lower, priced at $104,900.
