7 Tips to Take Care of Feet
during Monsoon
Monsoon has officially arrived and has given us the much-
required relief from the scorching heat. But, it has also
brought with it a host of other problems, especially for your
feet.
Walking in the rain, when the streets are flooded with rain
water, can be a daunting task. This usually affects the health
and appearance of your feet.
Lack of moisture and excess humidity in the air cause a lot
of problems for your feet. And also, this is the time of the
year when you're highly likely to get a fungus or any other
kind of an infection in your foot.
Several experts believe that during this season our feet can
act as a breeding ground for harmful bacteria and germs. It
is highly important to maintain hygiene of the feet and keep
them dry during the monsoon season.
And that is why, Today we're sharing with you some of the
most important tips to follow in order to take care of your
feet during the monsoon season.
Follow these tips to keep your feet soft and supple and,
most importantly, free from any kind of an infection.
Keep Them Clean Always: Clean your feet at least twice in a
day to keep any kind of an infection or fungus at bay. Proper
cleaning will also ensure that your feet stay super soft and
supple.
Opt For An Open Footwear: During monsoon, one should
opt for an open footwear and stay away from closed ones.
Enclosed environment can cause damage to your skin and
also create an unpleasant odour.
Exfoliate Your Feet Thoroughly: This is something that
should be done on a daily basis. You can either opt for a
scrubbing pad or use a pumice stone. But, it is crucial to
exfoliate, to prevent a build-up of dead skin cells and keep
your feet healthy and clean.
Keep Them Moisturised: Always keep your feet moisturised
to prevent the skin from cracking in that area. Right after
the shower and before hitting the bed in the night, these
are the 2 times when you must use a light moisturiser on
your feet.
Pedicure: Either make a visit to the nearby saloon, or try a
homemade foot soak. But, it is important to get a pedicure
done for removing the dirt that gets accumulated in the
different parts of the feet.
Apply Talcum Powder: This is one trick that most women
use on a daily basis. Applying little bit of talcum powder will
prevent your feet from getting oily and also smelly.
Keep Your Footwear Clean: Dirty footwear can serve as an
ideal environment for the breeding of bacteria and germs.
Also, no matter what, never wear damp footwear and
always opt for dry ones.
