Post is collected daily from Royal Mail

We handle approximately 300 letters daily

We deliver and collect post twice a day to City Centre Departments

How do we know where you are?

Location = post point

How can you help us?

• Ensure your post point is up to date on the intranet

• Ask customers to provide a reference number, contact name or department on their letters

• Don’t put internal post in a ‘pre-paid post’ envelope

• Email or Scan and send internal mail when possible

• Stop any junk mail you no longer want

Twice a week we courier internal post between the sites below:

Cuttleslowe, Templars Square, and Horspath and Cowley depots

How can we save more money?

• Use the correct pre-paid post envelope size and address correspondence correctly

– Up to 8 A4 sheets in a C5 pre-paid post envelope– Any more contents, please contact the post room

• Please don’t hand write the address, type a covering letter with full postal address including post code in capital letters

Out going post – we send approximately 1000 letters daily

• We manually sort and count each letter to raise an online payment for Royal Mail

• We pack them in boxes ready for collection at approximately 4.30pm daily

• All letters in pre-paid post envelopes go in these boxes

Parcel Deliveries

• Please ensure the suppliers of your order use the correct name and address

• Ensure you address it to the correct Oxford City Council location, Royal Mail do deliver to our area offices

• Please don’t have personal post/parcels send to us here

• If you are expecting a delivery please let us know

Signed for & Special Post

• Please bring any outgoing signed for post to the post room by 3.30pm

• Upon receipt of signed for post, an email will be sent to the addressee

• Signed for is tracked after Royal Mail attempt delivery

• Special is tracked when left OCC

Other Services

• We frank all mail that is not put in a pre-paid post envelope

• We frank all overseas post

• Generally parcels under 2kg can be franked internally

• Any unusual shaped or heavier will need to either be taken by your selves to the Post Office or use an external courier, please see the intranet for these services

MAIL MERGE

• If you have a large number of letters to send talk to us

• Our printers are quicker and cheaper to use• We also have a folder inserter to pack for us

Christmas Post Service

As SAC is closing at 4pm promptly on 23 and 30 December, there will be one post run to all floors at 11.30am, should you have any post after this time please bring it to the post room by 1.30pm
