9-1 FIRSTCLASS PHONECARDTM

Pre-paid domestic long-distance calls at one flat, per-minute rate.

Call to more than 200 countries from more than 150 countries.

Delivered by the U.S. Postal Service with service provided by AT&T.

The FIRSTCLASS PHONECARD provides pre-paid domestic long-distance telephone calling service at one flat, per-minute rate. It promotes the USPS core business by featuring beautiful stamp art.Phone cards are more convenient than using coins in pay phones, and they are easy to use—just call the toll-free number and follow the voice prompts.

Features to point out to customers: Calls are charged at a flat rate. Unlike some surcharged

phone cards generally sold in convenience stores and gas stations, there are no hidden charges.

Additional calling time can be added to the card over the telephone using most major credit cards.

 Calling time never expires.

Customer Service is available toll free, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.

With speed dialing, up to nine numbers can be stored as a single digit for instant dialing.

Page 104: Postal Products and Services

How customers use the FIRSTCLASS PHONECARD: Travelers use them to save on some hotel surcharges, as an

alternative when cell phone batteries go dead, and to give toemployees and clients to keep in touch.

Gift givers use them as a simple, easy gift that fits easily in mostgreeting cards.

Parents use them to give students a way to call home—in anemergency or to get a ride home from school, the movies, or the mall. It is also a great way to budget calling expenses forcollege students.

What is the per-minute rate on each dollar denomination?

Retail Price Minute Rate per(as of 4/17/00) Denomination Minute

$8 30 $0.2667

$15 60 $0.2500

$27 120 $0.2250

$53 240 $0.2208

How do our rates compare to the other phone cards? The FIRSTCLASS PHONECARD is competitive with other flat-ratephone cards. Many phone cards that advertise low per-minuterates are surcharge phone cards.

To make their phone cards appear to be less expensive, somesurcharge phone cards do not include charges such as connectionfees, monthly maintenance fees, and service fees in the per-minuterate. The FIRSTCLASS PHONECARD builds most fees and chargesinto the one flat rate, so there are no surprises for the customer.

Calling units (minutes) provided by flat-rate phone cards usually last longer than the calling units provided by surchargephone cards.

For support and materials, call 1-800-711-0428.

For customer service, call 1-800-208-0267—24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
