Within the years the architecture in Venezuela has developed a big achievement with stony structures that give a modern city the features of our metropolis, nevertheless, the beauty of the past remains present with constructions that are a hundred years old and that are still majesties. Color, light, texture, acoustics, rhythm, vertical and horizontal circulation, space and scale are present elements found in the Venezuelan architecture and urban space.  It gives true personality to the profiles of the cities.

The colors in Venezuela are so vibrant

that we can see the most spectacular

colors in any region of the Venezuelan

territory.

Los Aleros is the first theme

park that the city of Merida opened.

The park is just about typical Andean

people, where visitors can see how

they used to live.  It has an impeccable

organization and it is a place where

you will enjoy very much be able to be

involved in different activities that are

carried out.  Green, red and white are

the colors of the houses that show

contrast for the eyes of those who visit

this park.

We also have the privilege of having "natural architecture" in Venezuelan lands and one of the most fabulous places of the country, undoughtfully, is the Canaima Lagoon and its surroundings, one of the things that calls more attention of this perfect "natural architecture" is the color of the water, which is completely reddish, due to the great quantity of minerals that it contains.  Similarly, the sand has a soft pink color, as an effect of the quartz.

Lighting systems along all regions of Venezuela have been a spectacular

motivation for the tourists to see.  One of them, for instance, is in The

General Rafael Urdaneta Bridge which spans Maracaibo Lake; 5.5 miles

(8.7 km) long, it is the longest pre-stressed concrete bridge in the world.

Lights up each night to dramatic effect; this spectacular bridge offers a

wonderful sight for those who come from a far distant view point.

On the other hand, we have a phenomenon that in spite of being a total negative aspect for Caracas it doesn't stop from being impressive. The lighting in this city is just amazing when night falls; it is like seeing a mountain with a sheet of stars above due to the presence of lights in the neighborhoods surrounding the city.

As for Venezuelan architecture textures appear with same diversity which they change his landscapes and his climate.

For example we have a tourist center much known that is the Tovar Cologne. The houses, in the main, are made by rustic materials as wood combined by fronts of stones or reddish flagstones, this owes to itself largely that the thermal properties of these materials protect from the coldness of the zone. On the other hand, in Choroni, the little houses are made of light materials in order to make the ventilation responds better to the effects of the sun, and the spaces put ones are more opened in order that ventilation could be more agreeable, people use materials as blocks and frieze that they are materials of low thermal density.

The rhythm in caracas city is more accelerated in the hills, and more disperse in the east side of the city that in the west side. In the hillsides of Caracas we can find numerous houses attached to one another generating a very dense urban grain. In the East side of the city the pace is more harmonic and symmetrical with enough green spaces in some sectors and on the other hand, in the west side of the metropolis, the vertical structures dominate so the urban grain is densified

An important structure that combines the vertical and horizontal traffic is the Children Museum located in Caracas. This museum is an educational - recreative center that offers alternatives of support learning, since complements and reinforces knowledge acquired in the classroom, simultaneously that promotes creativity in an entertaining environment. His structure is designed in order to cross in a horizontal and vertical way enjoying the demurrage in any point of the museum.

An example of space and scale is the Valencia’s Sambil, in this structure the Beisbol topic served to conceptualize both, spatial and functional treatment of the building, from his exterior to interior. The building develops literally using the diamond scheme of the beisbol field. The "Home" and his "Three Bases " joined by the lines of lime, they turn into four squares and his respective corridors. The parking has a capacity of 1.100 positions and Highway develops in levels about the building. In the exterior a metallic structure named Needle develops as vertical element of 70 meters height for advertising and telecommunications.
