PROGRESS REPORT on :School Partnership
Indonesia - Thailand Vocational Schools
1. BackgroundA. SEA EduNet
a) SEA EduNet has been endorsed in 31st HOM 2009 as a network to be used in SEA region
b)More contents, programs and activities are required to make use of the SEA EduNet.
c) SEAMEO centers and their partners (schools/universities) need to participate in developing the learning material while SEAMOLEC will provide technical assistance.
d) Improved standards and better access to education through networking and institutional collaboration among member states under the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community Plan of Action.
2. Scope
A.Objectives: • To build collaboration between schools in Indonesia
and Southeast Asian countries described in an action plan;
• To improve quality of learning through collaborative study;
• To provide pathways for teachers to do research;• To share knowledge, culture and values.

B. Activities• Collaborative e-learning in particular subjects
(Mathematics, English, Languages other than English, Science, Mobile Game Technology, etc.) through open and distance learning provided by SEAMOLEC;
• Teacher Exchange, based on further agreement;• Student exchange, based on further agreement;• Credit curriculum transfer;• Joint training for teachers, school principals, and
other education personnel.
C. Scheme of the ProgramPhase Session / Activity
1 School Profile Matching by program Coordinator (SEAMOLEC & OVEC). Participating schools need to send school profiles to SEAMOLEC and OVEC.
2 One Day Pre-Departure Training at SEAMOLEC for Indonesian participants and Pre-Workshop coordination for Thailand participants
3 3 Days Workshop in Thailand for getting to know each other, developing MOU and Action Plan drafts and visiting school partners in Thailand.
4 3 Days Workshop in Indonesia for brainstorming of new ideas of the activities to be implemented in the partnership program such as Climate Change Issues and 21st Century Skills, finalization of MOU and Action Plan, and visiting schools partners in Yogyakarta and Central Java.
5 TVET Camp for exchanging knowledge, and experiences of students and teachers as well as learning each other culture in order to sustain relationship and to develop learning network in ASEAN community
6 Training / Workshop for Indonesian teachers of selected subject matters from participating schools at SEAMOLEC
Training / Workshop for Thailand teachers of selected subject matters from participating schools at Thailand.

3. JustificationA. SEAMEO Center plays its role in connecting schools
within the region and contributes to the ASEAN Community 2015 program.
B. Improving standards and better access to education through networking and institutional collaboration among member states under the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community Plan of Action.
C. Contribute in information dissemination and knowledge networking though multimedia system and to promote the culture and values form the country in which the center is located.
D. Strengthening relationship through school partnership program with the various ways including inserting one of the model of distance education in the program.
4. Implication
Expected Output:
• Indonesia with other SEA countries will have standard of competencies in several subject matters.
• Participating schools will have sister schools which will lead to improvement of quality of learning.
• Collaborative e-learning is a kind of a new learning strategy which is expected to be of encouragement for learners.
• Learners will learn in English and at the same time learners are using information and communication technology.
• They learn each other in how engaging industrial company in their program
