Look no further, Friendsof Araluen presents TheThree Chinese Tenors, aunique cultural Valentine’sDay experience.

The internationally rec-ognised ensemble will beperforming at the AraluenArts Centre on Friday, Feb-ruary 14, having inspiredaudiences across Australiaand South-East Asia.

Creator of the group, HaoZhou, said they were excitedto return to Alice Springsafter performing in townonce before.

‘‘There’s something aboutAlice, and Central Austra-lia,’’ Mr Zhou said.

‘‘It just has a special feel-ing. We find this specialfeeling being in the heart ofAustralia.

‘‘We’re mainly coming toAlice, but we will go toWestern Australia to dosome performances after-wards.’’

As the show happens tofall on Valentine’s Day, MrZhou said it was the perfect

way to spend an eveningyour partner.

‘‘I think most of the musicwe sing is romantic, whetherit is dramatic and opera or alarge piece of music like YouRaise Me Up,’’ he said.

‘‘People can expect strictlyoperatic arias, Neapolitansongs, musical theatresongs, as well as Chinesesongs, and of course every-one’s favourite, No OneShall Sleep and O Sole Mio.’’

The Three ChineseTenors’ Central Australianperformance will kick offwhat Mr Zhou hopes to beanother successful year forthe group, who have beentogether for 20 years.

‘‘I guess making moremusic and making peoplehappy is our main dream -and to be entertaining,’’ MrZhou said.

‘‘In my past life I was anopera singer, I noticedpeople could get bored.Being traditionally trainedsingers we sing all differentmusic in our own style.

‘‘Our show caters to every-one from people who loveopera as well as give peoplean experience of trainedfine voices singing a popsong.’’

The Three ChineseTenors are sure to give you a

completely different take onthe world of opera whenthey combine cabaret-styleaudience interaction, stand-up comedy and operaticbeauty.

They will have the audi-ence laughing one minute,in awe the next with their

virtuoso piano and vocal tal-ents.
