Welcome from the PrincipalThank you for considering our College to help you achieve your dream. Every year, we support about 16,000 students who wish to change their lives. Our approach is to find out what career you choose, and then help you to develop a plan to help you succeed.

If you walk around our campuses, you will see hundreds of different posters highlighting student successes in all of the main career areas so as you will see, a wealth of opportunity awaits everyone who joins us.

We are the largest provider of 16-18 education, adult education and training and apprenticeships in Wirral and our success is built on the achievement of our students. Student success rates are in the top ten percent of colleges nationally. There are so many fantastic things happening in our college and our Students’ Union get involved in all aspects of college life, from working with us on strategy, to organising events, interest clubs and generally ensuring that you have as much fun as possible. Last year a number of our students won national awards of excellence in their chosen area including Construction, Science, Hospitality and Health Services. We also hold the Training Excellence Standard and have links with hundreds of employers who recruit and develop their staff from Wirral Met’s pool of talented students.

If you choose to join us, our team of over 650 staff will be ready to help you succeed! You may have a tutor, assessor, learning mentor, and in some cases, one of our learning support specialists to help with specific requirements such as supporting you in relation to any learning difficulties or disabilities. So, if you have ambition to learn and you are prepared to work hard, then we are here to help you. Get in touch and let’s make a start on achieving your dream.
