Dear Parents,
Welcome back everyone! I trust you had a wonderful Easter break and are enjoying the lovely change in the weather this week! We have an extremely busy term ahead of us – there is so much happening. Here are some dates for your diaries and some reminders:
FRIENDS ASSOCIATION AGM – MONDAY 23 RD APRIL 6.30P.M. AT SCHOOL
Our ‘Friends’ association will be holding their Annual General Meeting this coming Monday, 23 rd April at 6.30p.m. This will be held in the school hall and refreshments will be provided. Please come – this is a very important meeting and we would love to see as many people there as possible. The ‘Friends’ Association are working extremely hard to raise much needed funds for school – they need as much support as possible. It would be great to see you!
SCHOOL EUCHARIST – WEDNESDAY 2 ND MAY 9.15A.M. SCHOOL HALL
Please join us for our first Eucharist this term which will be held on Wednesday 2 nd May in the school hall. This will be led by pupils from Year 3 (Mrs. Wood) and Year 2 (Miss Smith). Refreshments will be served following the service. We would be delighted to see you there.
NATIONAL TESTS – WEDNESDAY 2 ND MAY – WEDNESDAY 9 TH MAY
National test week is nearly upon us. The test period dates are listed above. Every pupil from Year 2 to Year 6 will be tested in reading comprehension, numerical reasoning and procedural mathematics. It is imperative that pupils attend school during this period of time and if you anticipate any problems with attendance, please could you let us know.
MONDAY 7 TH MAY – MAY DAY BANK HOLIDAY
A reminder that Monday 7th May is the May Day Bank Holiday and school will be closed for the day.
PARENT / TEACHER CONSULTATIONS: TUESDAY 22 ND MAY AND WEDNESDAY 23 RD MAY
You will shortly receive information regarding our Summer Term Parent / Teacher consultations. These will be held directly before May half term. We hope that you are able to attend as this will be a good opportunity to discuss your child’s progress with their class teacher and also to look at their work. If you have difficulties in attending, please let us know. In exceptional circumstances, appointments may be made with staff on alternative dates. Thank you.
MONDAY 28 TH MAY – FRIDAY 1 ST JUNE – HALF TERM HOLIDAY
MONDAY 23 RD JULY & TUESDAY 24 TH JULY – INSET DAYS – SCHOOL WILL BE CLOSED.
SCHOOL CLUBS
Extra-Curricular Clubs will start next week. You should all receive a ‘Clubs’ letter today. We change the clubs on a termly basis to allow for a greater range of activities and for all children to be catered for at some point during the year. Please note that clubs continue straight after the half term break and will end on Friday 6th July.

SCHOOL UNIFORM CONSULTATION
The school uniform consultation will close on Friday 4th May. Please ensure that your consultation forms have been given to school by this date. Thank you to all those who have already responded.
CURRICULUM NEWS
You will shortly receive the Curriculum News for the Summer Term which will include a list of all significant dates for the Summer Term, including school trips etc. However, here are some very important dates for the last week of term ready for your diaries:
Tuesday 17TH July – Year 2 Graduation – 9.30a.m School Hall
Wednesday 18TH July – Leavers Eucharist (involving the whole school) – 9.15a.m St. Elvan’s Church
Friday 20TH July – Year 6 leavers’ concert – 1.30p.m. School Hall
It seems far away now, but as you all know, this term will rush past and we will soon be at the above concerts!
There are, of course, many other events this term, such as familiarisation week, sports’ day etc but information will be sent regarding these events as soon as dates have been confirmed.
