SuperAmbassadorsSuperAmbassadorsisaschemefromtheChildren’sCommissionerforWalesthataimstopromotechildren’srightsandtheUNCRCprimaryschools.PupilsfromClassFiverepresentedtheschoolatanAmbassadorEventinCarmarthenwheretheymettheSchoolsCommissioner-theyhadtheopportunitytotakepartinworkshopswithpupilsfromotherschoolsandtakepartindiscussionanddebate.

SiarterIaithCymraeg/WelshLanguageCharterAspartofourcontinuingeffortstopromotetheWelshlanguageandtodeveloppupils’Welshspeakingskillswearetakingpartinthewholeschoolinitiativethe‘SiarterIaithCymraeg/WelshLanguageCharter’.ThisprojectinvolvestakingpartinarangeofWelshlanguageactivitiestoreachtentargetslaiddownbytheWelshCharter.WeaimtoachievetheBronzeAwardoftheSiarterIathCymraeginthesummerof2017.AspartofthisprocessfourmembersoftheCriwCymraegattendedthe'Tanio'rDdraig'dayatthePavilioninHaverfordwest.TheywerefantasticambassadorsfortheschoolandworkedwithotherschoolstoshareideastopromoteWelsh.

ShwmaeDayOurcelebrationofShwmaeDaywasenjoyedbypupilsandstaff-itwaslovelytoseeourbannersandpostersdecoratingFishguard,Goodwickandthewidercommunity.

MassandHarvestWecelebratedschoolMassduringthishalfterm-asalways,pupilbehaviourwasofaveryhighstandard.OurHarvestCelebrationtookplacethisweek-Weweredelightedtoseesomanyparents,friendsandparishionersinchurchonTuesdayafternoon.I’msureyou’llagreethatthepupilbehaviourandperformancewasofanexcellentstandard-foodcollectedhasbeengiventoPATCHwhereitwillbeusedtohelpfamiliesinPembrokeshire.Wealsoraised£85forCAFOD.

OutdoorClassroomDayClassesOne,TwoandThreeenjoyedanoutdooractivityday-theytookpartinawholehostofactivitiesincludingpressingourownapplestomakecloudyapplejuice.TheyalsoenjoyedadayofHarvestactivitieswhichincludedbulbplantingandcreatingfruitkebabs.ThankyoutoTescowhodonatedthefruitandMrsBartlettfromTescowhospentthedaywithusworkingwiththechildren.

Class4tookpartina1960sthemedworkshopwiththetalentedJCTheatre-theytalkedaboutandre-enactedkeyeventsfromthesixties.

DemocracyWeekAspartofdemocracyweekCouncillorMylesPeppercameintoworkwithClass5.Helistenedtoconcernsourpupilshaveaboutthelocalareaandisworkingtoseeifanyofthemcanberesolved.

/FireBrigadeVisitsPCSOsCarwynandEirianvisitedusthisweektoremindthechildrenoftheimportanceofstayingsafeatHallowe’enandonBonfirenight.ClassTwohavebeenlearningaboutTheGreatFireofLondon.EarlierthisweektheFireBrigadejoinedustoensurethattheirre-enactmentofthefirewasasafeandexcitingevent.

OutandAboutClass5havebeenoutandaboutcarryingoutfieldworklinkedtotheirsciencetopic-theyenjoyedavisittoLampitwheretheywereabletocarryoutafieldstudylookingatdifferenthabitats.ClassesOneandTwowillbespendingthedayinScoltonManortomorrow.
