October Newsletter . Super Ambassadors Super Ambassadors is a scheme from the Children’s Commissioner for Wales that aims to promote children’s rights and the UNCRC primary schools. Pupils from Class Five represented the school at an Ambassador Event in Carmarthen where they met the Schools Commissioner - they had the opportunity to take part in workshops with pupils from other schools and take part in discussion and debate. Siarter Iaith Cymraeg/Welsh Language Charter As part of our continuing efforts to promote the Welsh language and to develop pupils’ Welsh speaking skills we are taking part in the whole school initiative the ‘Siarter Iaith Cymraeg/Welsh Language Charter’. This project involves taking part in a range of Welsh language activities to reach ten targets laid down by the Welsh Charter. We aim to achieve the Bronze Award of the Siarter Iath Cymraeg in the summer of 2017. As part of this process four members of the Criw Cymraeg attended the 'Tanio'r Ddraig'day at the Pavilion in Haverfordwest. They were fantastic ambassadors for the school and worked with other schools to share ideas to promote Welsh. Shwmae Day Our celebration of Shwmae Day was enjoyed by pupils and staff - it was lovely to see our banners and posters decorating Fishguard, Goodwick and the wider community.
