Valaida S. Walker Memorial Award 2014
The Temple University Memorial Awards are designed to recognize Temple University students fofor their outstanding academic, leadership and service achievements.
This application is intended to make your application process as smooth as possible. Please read the description of each award AND THE DIRECTIONS prior to applying, to ensure you meet the criteria and have completed all steps necessary for consideration of the award.
THE APPLICATION DEADLINE IS FEBRUARY 28, 2014 NO LATER THAN 5:00 P.M.
TO SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION: FILL OUT THE APPLICATION FORM SAVE AS A WORD DOCUMENT TO YOUR COMPUTER E-MAIL THE APPLICATION TO [email protected]
SUBMITTING REFERENCES: DIRECT YOUR REFERENCES TO THE MEMORIAL AWARDS WEBSITE. PERSON SHOULD ACCESS DOCUMENT TITLED “REFERENCE FORMS” REFERENCES WILL FOLLOW SAME STEPS AS ABOVE
Provisions: You must be a sophomore or junior. Applications & Reference Letters MUST be submitted by February 28, 2014 no later
than 5:00 p.m. to the Dean of Students Office via email [email protected] An answer to each question is required. Incomplete applications can not be processed.
Please follow the directions carefully; incomplete applications (including references) will not be presented to the selection committee.
DESCRIPTION OF AWARD: Valaida S. Walker Award: This award is presented to a student in good academic standing who demonstrates University leadership as well as service to the broader community. This award is open to current sophomores and juniors.
THE ESSAY QUESTION:You will be asked to write one essay as part of this application.
REFERENCES:References MUST be supplied as part of your application process. Applications are considered incomplete until two (2) references are received.
